  1. Big thanks to Kim and Steve, a great weekend with great people, great cars and luckily the weather. Looking forward to next year
  2. Well done Steve, a worthy winner and a good promotion for the club
  3. It is Ceejays and if you look at the middle pic on the advert you can see my heap in the background :hyper:
  4. My current u.k zed and my previous import zed both had squeaks when I got them and it was the same on both cars, the bonnet! you can hear it inside the car like a little mouse...., lubricated the hinges with spray grease and the little location tab just in front of the hinge. and all sealing rubbers with silicone rubber lubricant not forgetting the rubbers fitted to the underside of the bonnet. cured my squeaks ;)
  5. I was considering attending, but unless I got my dates wrong thats zedfest weekend?
  6. I remember the crown from the seventies as well, it was sold in the u.k. in saloon or estate with a 2.6 straight six if I remember correctly. And they fell apart before your eyes. Although The one below is a bit of a peach.
  7. Not really but wasnt there to race other people, everything that was in the other lane on every run was behind me with the exception of a 600bhp Supra.
  8. No one ran Saturday, completely rained off. But Sunday was o.k. except for a strong head wind, my best time was a 14.65.
  9. I did run it but there was a very strong head wind, My best time was 14.65 which I was pleased with. I was expecting to be in the 15's as the engine is not heavily modified. I think what made the difference was my big wheels getting the power down of the start line:D there not that big, they have a 285 tyre on the rear and I know some of the wide arch cars on this club run bigger tyres than that.
  10. It was me on my way home from The Pod. Saw you in the white U.K. spec Although it was really chucking down. Also saw another on the M25 near the M1 stuck in the traffic going anti clockwise. Looked like a gun metal with series 1 rear spoiler. Sorry about the Spray from my wheels:D
  11. If you do decide to throw them away, can I have first dibs :D just what I'm looking for, cash waiting :)
  12. parked in a car park in Hythe yesterday next to a blue vert. I had a chat with the Lady driver who said she lives in Folkestone and had just bought it last week so another kent coast zed
  13. I've always had a strong hankering for a 8 series, it nearly won the battle when I bought my current Zed. as said above 850csi is stunning, but only if you can find one. not many about and command loads more money. (there was also a few Alpinas) Also the csi is 5.7 with a 6 speed manual whereas all the other 850's are autos. I was looking at the later 840 with the 4.4 v8 as the engine and autobox is improved over the early 4.0 v8 (early 4.0 had bore wear problems) Agree with Si, Evo's and Skylines are great but there parked on every street corner :D
  14. Thats right, 300zedx was on his way back from the North/south run with some of the south central guys but he's in Rochester. And i've seen a couple of different zeds going about in Ashford and Folkestone but not sure if they are on here?
  15. That would have been me then, on my way home from Elvetham heath Car show. I didnt see you but there must have been a few shows on yesterday as I saw allsorts of weird and wonderful stuff on my way home, even had a another zed come up along side me on the M25. Stopped at Clacketts services and had a natter with him, it was 300zedx from this forum:D
  16. My missus always said the 300 looked like a pimps car
  17. I used to have a set of those on my N/A. I never really liked the centre panel that comes with them, always thought it would have gone better with the stock rear lights. So I fitted a 99 spec centre panel as it matches the lights and gives a better look I think.
  18. Why not have the odd comp for different aspects of the car rather than the whole car, for example best interior, best I.C.E install, best wheels, even best rear spoiler etc etc.:D I think it would increase the scope for nominations Was gonna suggest most bling but that would be a one horse race
  19. I had the same problem this week, had to reduce the file size to get it to upload even though the files were already smaller than the upload limit
  20. Bit of an update, The Mot guy was a bit busy in the morning and told him to bring it back in the Afternoon and He would have a look at it. He took it back in the afternoon with the Vac line still disconnected and the emissions had come right down in spec and it passed :nana2::dance:
  21. Cheers Nick, He popped round this morning and we had a quick play around. looks like the left hand 02 sensor has gone. Did a comparison with my zed and both my 02 readings are almost identical at idle and flick up and down nicely when you blip the throttle. On his car the right hand 02 was giving results similar to mine but the left hand completely different, sometimes zero and then a reading? checked the connectors and were clean like new. All other readings looked normal and had a good look under bonnet but could see no obvious problems. Tried the trick with pulling the vac line of the balance bar, he popped back round the garage for them to re-check. They tried the probe up both tailpipes and they said it was worse? So does a failure of either 02 sensor cause a default increase in fuelling on all cylinders? Anyone?
  22. My 93 import Z32 N/A auto, sold it earlier this year to a lad down the road. He rung me today saying it's failed the MOT on emmisions? I had it through 3 MOT's and never had a problem? It's completely stock except air intake and in very good low mileage mech condition. He said the MOT chap said it was worse on idle than mid revs? he's going to bring it round in the morning so I can plug the laptop in for a look. Any suggestions on what might be the cause before I take a look will be greatfully received :D
  23. I'm interested depending on date :D
  24. both my zeds suffered bonnet sqeaking, took me ages to work out where it was coming from initially, About every three months I do the hinges with spray grease and all the seating/sealing rubbers with silicone spray, that stops my sqeaks :)
