  1. Can't say I have mate :D It must have some effect tho cos it's gotta match the extra air with fuel  . Drop in the ocean fuel wise eh :D ;) !
  2. I just recently put a single cone Stillen intake in place of the airbox (I too had K&N panels) - it's made a big difference, the car is smoother and feels like it revs more freely. Better 1/4 mile times too ;) I've got a mongoose exhaust (quad 3") too, but decatted. The exhaust obviously works with the intake to allow more air to flow through. Haven't noticed any sound change at all. I don't think a twin cone is worth it unless you've got big plans for BHP - a single will suffice until then HTH Pete
  3. Didn't know that "*" was legal under UK Vehicle Licencing laws ;)
  4.
  5. Yeah that bit is a b&stard! How are your arms? Mine were in tatters :D . Well worth it though ;) Pete
  6. LOL Eric!! :D:D Mind if I save that one onto my harddrive for future use ;) ?!
  7. Bwahaahaaahhaaaaa :D:D:D:D:D:D Remind me never to take a tip from you ;) I wouldn't say I'm a Man U fan, but they are great to watch esp when on form. I prefer them to any other Premiership team. Pete
  8. Woohoo! - I've just put the J-specs into the lead :D:D Stuart (happyflyer) - did you have a feature on your cars in Jap Performance a few months back? Same issue as the 300zx buying guide? Impressive list you got there  . Pete
  9. Andy - ahhh cheers mate ;) Feck knows in what direction I've left them pointing in :D  ! Berks - grrr wish I had a garage so I could take you up on your challenge :D I did put a fair few hours of wrist action in this afternoon, she's never shone so much!
  10. Hello all :) Just cleaning up my Zed for the midland meet tomorrow :D and decided to clean behind and around the edges of the front fogs cos they're all grotty. Theres one phillips screw on each of them which I thought would release the covers but they both just spin around like they're not attached to anything  Any ideas on how to get these off? Cheers Pete
  11. I've just been to Lutterworth near Leicester (about 7o'clock) and back to Daventry - hope it wasn't me then
  12. "Botany Bay, Have a great day, Bring all the family down to Botany Bay!" I miss local Lancs radio :(
  13. Anytime mate ;) I was hoping not to find my old mondeo on there!
  14. Anyone on here? :D:D Barry Boys - You've f%cked up your car!! :D Pete
  15. Di - I know the people at Murley Nissan in Warwick (Nelson Road I think, not far from Tescos), the Sales Director there said they'd be confident in servicing mine in the future. They used to be a Toyota dealership and say they had modded MR2s, supras, celicas etc and know their stuff. No experience with the 300zx as they've only been Nissan for 18 months or so, but their experience with 10-12 year old performance jap cars must be worth something. And it's in Warwick. I ordered two hoses for my Import (they were Z32 only parts) and they had them in the next day so parts availability isn't bad :) Just a suggestion :) Pete
  16. Sorry to interrupt but - Heysham!! I used to live there, on the top of Kingsway!! :D
  17. Eat your words Stu - fantastic second half :D :D !!!
  18. I think I saw the same bloke when he arrived there, at work I think? :D
  19. LOL Stu - check the times of the last posts, and compare it to the time on your pc :D !
  20. I remember a couple of threads about car cover companies a while back, have you tried searching? http://www.autoanything.com/carcovers.asp Cover Systems, tel 01933-410851 Any use? The GT40 is a beaut of a car - make sure you put some pics up when you get it  :D  !! Pete
  21. Or has the forum not put its clocks forward  :D ?
  22. I bought some of this stuff last week, £5.99 from Halfrauds. The leather doesn't look/feel *that* much different after using it but maybe it will after a few applications. Pete
  23. Will see what it looks like Tony but don'e really wanna leave all the nuts exposed to the elements, probs seem v small compared to your current one :(. I expected to fork out here and there when I bought it so I'm not bothered about new parts eg bearings if need be. I just think of every replaced part as *improving* the car :) - kind of nice when you think of it like that. Pete
  24. Cheers mate - hopefully it's this then. Sounds cheaper and more DIY friendly than wheel bearing :) More searches have mentioned sticking calipers  Cheers Pete
