Hi People, while i was doing my compression test i took a photo of the spark plug all of them was the same. What do you think of the condition of them? Also how do you get the outer a pillar trims off?? dont want to break them. Regards Andy

Hi all, Just got back in from doing my compression test, had a fully charged jump pack on the battery, removed all plugs, had throttle open and cranked around 5 times per clyinder or until neddle stopped. On the wet test i only put a teaspoon amount of oil in. DRY 155 | 146 140 | 136 140 | 140 FRONT WET 170 | 151 150 | 142 149 | 148 FRONT The vehicle has done 95k miles so looking at them results what you think? Regards Andy

i dont think your engine bay needs doing its clean enough looking at the pics lol

Heres the pic, started the top of the engine came up really well. all the cleaned paint now needs polishing and plastics spraying to make them shiney. Regards Andy

Just got in after i started to clean the enigne bay with swarfega jizer (great stuff), done the headlamp panels, headlights, rad, shroud and both arches really pleased but taken 3 hours and im shattered lol got a lot more to go but looking forward to seeing it finished. Regards Andy

Hi people, just removed the balance bar and for some reason never really looked or smelled in side but its got oil and a fuel smell to it? should this be right or should it be clean? if so what can cause this and what effects can it have on the engine?? if you have your volume all the way up you can hear a miss on the revs and sends a vibration through the car etc. Should the revs drop and pick back up like that in one of the vids?

Hi people done a thread a couple of days ago because the vehicle rough running, spoke to mark from here great help who suggested doing another compression test to comfirm previous results. As im waiting for a new test kit to arrive i thought id done some quick videos of the vehicle at idle etc so you can hear the problem, hope you all got good speakers the mic on my mobile is crap. Hi People, the fan shroud on my Z is battered and looks crap. Is it ok to run without this? as far as im aware its only there to protect the fan so might remove it all together. Regards Andy

feels like all six nice and smooth engine just at 3000-3500rpm get a backfire sound in the exhaust. can i do a fuel pressure test myself? Thanks again

Ive already replaced the temp sensor with a brand new one, no faults stored either in the system. No smell coming from engine bay at all. Going to try connectors but i dont think that will work tho as i only did this a month ago. Thanks everyone for your help. Any more ideas keep them coming.

hi, smelt the exhaust and defo petrol. Thinking about an engine strip down and rebuilt, anyone have any ideas on how much this would cost?? Regards Andy
