well on mine the rear end vibrates (bounces up and down) when getting to high speeds sometimes so bad interior mirror vibrates depends on the road. Already replaced the rear shockers.

got a vibration on the Z when cold, does anyone know where i can get a Prop shaft with new centre bearing or complete new prop?

I removed the pipe off the external oil cooler to drain as much as i could. if you only remove the plug or sump max you can get out is about 3 litres. its fine that way its just a matter of diluting the old oil a little bit at a time. Cost me £1600 but if the box has gone you can convert to manual for that money. Regards Andy

Knowing my rear subframe bushes are leaking and worn been saving up to get them replaced but just seen these http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?products_id=1374 anyone used them? are they easy to fit and what benefits do they give? They wont stop the bushes leaking tho will they and can the Z fail an MOT with leaking bushes? Regards Andy

mine was doing this straight after a rebuild on the box, found the oil the garage used was way to thick and wasnt moving around the box and was over heating. Changed 8 litres of the oil and its like new. Who did the oil change? did they say if there was any iron shavings in the pan or on the strainer? Regards Andy

keep it warm and see what happens, put a worm with it and see if it feeds.

Update! took the vehicle back to the garage who did the rebuild last week, they was telling me the gearbox oil was getting too hot and the external cooler i had fitted last year was not good enough!!!! they wanted to fit a fan cooled rad!! not thinking this would solve the problem took it to VMTP who Zedworld use and knowing them through work i knew they would come up trumps. Had a call from them today and they believe the problem lies with the gearbox oil. they drained some out and its Orange!! and like a gel!! but smells like AFT!! looks like its way to thick to pump around the box then in turn getting hot!! They doing an oil change Monday lets hope it fixes the car. Regards Andy

i know regret not converting instead of rebuild would have cost the same lol still love the auto for relaxing.

UK 1993 LWB Auto in Red 96,000 miles Good Points Timing belt at 93k Full Service + fuild changes last year Fully rebuilt Auto box with converter plate (£1600) Done at 95k New o2 Sensors Fixed all boost leaks New starter motor New idle Regulator PCV Valves (to be fitted) Nearly full service history (missing 1) New rear lights Completely standard except for air filter (apexi) Bad Points Both rear Wings starting to bubble rear spoiler cracking not noticeable until close up Has Slight missfire at idle but clears when gets warm (connector problem?) N/s dog leg has slight dent Aerial inop Spent lots keeping it tidy and aware ill near get all my money back but need the cash. Photos in my ride section Thanks Again Andy

FOUND IT!!! small pipe onto engine at drivers side, clamped up all good. Holds pressure now at 14psi but over say 1min it very very slowly goes down? is that normal or is there still a problem cant hear no leaks now tho? Regards Andy

Finally lent my mates boost leak detecter from him which he made for his Leon. Found one leak from the idle valve, the clamp was loose. Tried again and found another at the drivers side rear but its so bad that it loses pressure before i get to find it. So just waiting for my mate to turn up to help!!! hope i dont find anymore well p***ed off now lol. i think this might solve most of my issues what you think boys and girls. What problems can boost leaks give you? Regards Andy

Hi all. Took the vehicle back today to where i got it reconditioned because of this fault and they told me there is no fault codes stored and the Auto control unit required updating lol !!!!!! i checked for fault codes before it went and there wasnt any stored. Not convinced this fixed it felt like i was been spun a lie. On the way home all was ok and changing gears ok. Until the gearbox was warm and i put my foot down and then i was red lining all over again. Now ive got to take it back really getting p***ed off now. Anything i can do to solve this problem? lol ive seen that done before, my mate did it on his 205 ran the wiring straight from the battery all the way underneath into the boot lol, cable tied it to the brake pipes lol. Regards Andy

Correct you cant put a plate on your vehicle which is younger than yours but you can put anything older on. It all depends on when the dealer registers your vehicle. We have 2007 build cars coming through having 09 plates on them. Must have been sitting in a field. Regards Andy
