Hi all. Car has been missfiring for a while had the o2 sensor changed which helped. Ive noticed on start up there is heavy blue smoke with a strong petrol smell. when accelerating it gets worse and can see smoke through the rear view mirror. I suspect this is giving me the poor mpg im getting and lack of performance. Any ideas people? Regards Andy

The engine revs fine just the gearbox only goes to 3rd gear, this only happens when ive been driving for about 5mins. Thanks All

Hi lads and ladies got a problem with my vehicle going into limp mode when engine warm, (vehicle - tt 93 auto). so tried the diag on http://www.twinturbo.net/ttnettech/autodiag/autodiag.html but nothing flashes or light come on? is there something missing from the procedure?? Many Thanks Andy.

Hi, Not long had my auto box reconditioned and dont use the car very often. when i first picked the vehicle up i took it for a spin on the motorway. i found that the vehicle would red line and not change up. if i came off the accelerator and back on then it would change up a gear this carried on through every gear? is this the box relearning the limits? Also now when ive used the vehicle for a while maybe half an hour the vehicle stops in 3rd gear and redlines and wont change up until i turn it off and let it go cold?? Many Thanks Andy P.S. Hi i have the consult software, when i go into the software with the ignition on i can read the data but as soon as i start the car to get live data the software freezes and loses its connection? please advise am i doing this right? regards andy

Hi People, I'm after some advise and help please, after having problems with my car now for more than 3 years, decided to do a clyinder compression test, all right hand clyinders are fine, but the middle left clyinder was less than half, after doing a pressure test all the air was escaping through the exhaust meaning exhaust valve. What type of job is it to remove the head, is it a job i can do at home? If so where can i get the parts from ie head gasket kit, bolts, valves etc? Also is there an detailed online manual with step by step guide and torque settings etc? Thanks Again All Many Regards Andy

Brought myself a really nice Kenwood last week, but having some trouble. Its keeps going into protection mode everytime i use a button or switch in the car eg windows. Took the head unit out to see if any crossed wires but there wasnt any. put it all back together now ive lost my ignition feed to the unit and the rear amp? is there a fuse for these? Hi All Just brought me a DVD Player with optional GPS input, just wandering where i get the gps system from ive seen a couple on the internet its like a black box with an aerial and removeable sd card for the maps? I also think people use this system when they build Carputers. Regards Andy

what about i get an insurance note a week in advance but the start of the policy be a week later will they still tax it then? or does the policy have to be already started?

As im serving a driving ban i put my car on SORN, but how do i get a new tax disc when i came to re-tax it, is it the same procedure as normal taxing because i wont have a letter from the DVLA to re-tax my car? also i cant tax it until my insurance starts is that true? regards andy
