  1. Typical dan, i would drive over for a meet, but im on call this weekend, would have been good to meet you, since i couldnt when i was in Cornwall.
  2. I can see it no probs, Alan, are your looking at it after a few stellas, as when i look on here after getting a kicking from Mr stella and his cousin Artois, all the the threads seem funny, and i type loads of shite............
  3. My son matt is just over 17 years old, he starts his driving lessons tomorrow, i cant believe i let him have a go, on our private test track, he has just driven the zed. Had no probs with gear change, or clutch. Little sod likes the sound of the turbos. Made me giggle how much his legs were shaking. i kept saying if you touch the pedal under your right foot, be careful it will bite you in the arse. Now he knows what a manual TT is a bit like. and he didnt even stall it. Few more lessons i think. Petrolhead in the making.............. Im happy its still in one piece. Stu
  4. Blimey mate, at Surrey rolling road it was clean, but now it looks like new. Must be well chuffed.........
  5. Happy birthday Vinz, Have a good un.....
  6. welcome. Manualn and TT the best way to go. If your not sure of anything re zeds, post em up, were here to help..................:nana2:
  7. Most common on cold is either the fuel dampner of regulator, but when engine is warm, very hard to locate a leak as it evaporates instantly. Check hoses either side of these and fuel filter. If still doing, maybe a stuck injector, clean them aswell, and start to elimate stuff. Stu
  8. Looks great mate, all nice and shinny and new like, love the carbon stuff...........
  9. 1. The great escape. 2. Jaws 3. Snatch,or love honour and obey. 4. Full metal jacket.
  10. On topless's consult, showed no voltage on either idle or full throttle, seems weird but the engine ticks over smoother if it makes sense.
  11. After finding out my TPS was dead at Surrey rolling road (cheers topless) Sourced a good working one from Corvetteman (cheers again) Now fitted and properly adjusted, best i could get was 0.42 volts on idle, just seems to run a bit better and smoother. have adjusted the base idle, and cleaned a couple of connectors, Result = not using as much fuel as before, and engine is much more responsive.......... Just need to do O2 sensors............ Worth investigating.
  12. Si, this is a very recent picture (two weeks ago) of Atlasts zed with them on, Im trying to convince him to lend them to me for a while, so i can get some moulds made up.
  13. To reset ecu, diconnect battery for an hour, this will reset it. If still having idle issues, check your tps is set correctly, and your idle control valve,, also worth doing a throttle body clean, and AIV vales. Cleaning the TB's will make a big difference, so to will the other stuff.
  14. Anyone else watching this,,,,,, how cool, all about tornados, ivce only ever seen one, but i would love to do this for a holiday,,,,,,,,,,,,,:hyper:
  15. Welcome back, what have you got, get some piccys up,,
  16. Yep you need to remove the hub to expose the shafts, why not go down the hubsentric spacers route, i got a set of the h&r ones via driftworks, superior quality, comes complete with the new spacer, botls and just bolts onto existing threads. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.
  17. I did mine with a hair dryer, just be patient, it takes time, if they dont come undone, it needs more heat. I removed mot of the black sticky crud, when joining back together, i used black waterproof silicone . it does the job, and if i ever need to take apart again, i only need to cut the silicone.
  18. I got mine from LisaF on here, I like the look, some will say no, but a cheap alternative.
  19. Alan, he is huge since the last pics..................... If he is anything like my lab, he will kill that pool, until it moves no more................................
  20. Water pump seized, causing the belt to shatter, as it spins takes out the fan, fan cuts through the shroud..............
  21. Interesting, ive just picked up a freebie pair of originals, have yours been smoothed in to the bodywork, looks like it............:duffer:
  22. Just since the weather has got warmer i can hear my vicous fan more than before, its definatley not the sub fan, but the viscous. When accelerating hard, i can clearly hear it, have checked all the pipes, and heating side and all is good, its not losing water, and the temp is a good as gold. Its driving as quick as it has ever done Why can i hear it so much more, is it as simple due to the ambient weather being warm, as in winter it dosent do it........ Lots of questions i know,
  23. Good stuff dave, like seeing pressies for the ladies. On a different note, what are you side skirts? they look the nuts...........
  24. WOw good figures John, if thats what its like running rich, what will it do when sorted.............
  25. The zed 300zx is a different beast, some are good, some are very bad. When looking for one, make sure its been well looked after, and it has evidence to back up any 400bhp claims there are some serious power non turbos, and twin tubs. if you find one you like the look off, post it on here, and see if someone can go over it with you. Ive had a TT jap AUTO, Now a UK TT Manual, both fantastic cars for what you get. But the manual is loads of fun. Make sure the body is good, if it needs a bit of tlc, its worth it, but if it needs loads, unless you know what you are doing, walk away.....
