Hi and welcome.... Clocks are prone to go bang, have a look at zedworld in the traders section, they can do 2nd ones. Dash removal, i take it your talking about the speedo consul, its just a matter of a few screws, 3 under each pods to the side , a few underneath and 2 to the top. Check the bulbs, if its been converted to show blue bulbs, may just be a bulb out. Cruie control was standard on TT's and most imports apart from some non turbos. Fuel filler cap, becomes sticky over time, a bit of wd40 or silicone spray should sort, or may be a stretched cable. need to investigate. Standard brakes can be poo, either upgrade to bigger discs and pads. or just give the brakes a decent overhaul, new pads, new grease, and good bleeding with new fluid. to get a zed. Its days like today, that make me wonder why i had driven other crud before. Me, daughter and girlfriend went to Eastbourne for the day. Sunshine, full tank of fuel, not much traffic. Targas off, nice roads. No issues, no funny noises from the engine, all is good. On way home, pull onto motorway behind a new scooby. from the corner of my eye, i can see my girlfriend is looking at me, I know shes thinking "dont you race him stu, your going to, but dont' Then the car in front of the scooby pulls aside, and he goes for it.... But im already for that, but stuck to the scooby like glue, going uphill for about a mile, he has to pull over and let the zed past. As i zoom by, he just shakes his head in a way of defeat , and then flashes his lights at me, more to say 'well done'. He is gone from site, i slow down a bit, but have a smile on me like a cheshire cat. The only only words i hear from my girlfriend "was that fun". Hell yea. Fooking fantastic......... :bow::bow:

Changing the bad bits on my Uk TT for the good bits on jap TT, bumpers, intercoolers, lights etc. Nice to have lots of spares...............

Uk glass has a slight blue tint, the glass tops are a swap, but jap spec targa blinds DO NOT FIT, as on the UK glass has a peice of rubber bonded to the glass. UK Targa blinds are smaller.. Si, you will need the glass and targa blinds aswell

I am ok at surfing, biggest wave ive surfed was about 10ft, and it picked me up and slammed me onto spin cycle on full speed. But this is insane, you have to be very very good or completely bonkers. I had seen a few around, and admired the contours of them. But not ever seen up close, until one day i turn up at my old bosses to do some at his house , and he had a silver Impul TT. Took it for a drive and was instantly hooked. Had never owned a jap car before, always been a ford or vauxhall. I will never go back. By far superior in the style stakes over anything else at the time and still has a massive presence.

Today started early at 6am, due to me being on call this week. to a call from a tennant that her hot water cylinder was leaking. half hour later im there, start draining down the system as i need to replace the cylinder. Get the new one and some parts. 9am take it out and put in front garden to empty it. Have a quick coffee and a ciggie, go into house at 9.15. get to top of the stairs and realise i need some bits off the old cylinder, back downstairs and ..................... Some fooker has nicked my cylinder, its not worth much as scrap maybe £20 if lucky. But this is a plumbers perk. It was out of my sight for no more than a minute. I hope its a smackhead druggie who nicked it, that he goes and gets a hit for his £20, then overdoses on it, or whoever took it, fell over and face planted the copper cylinder and tore an artery..... This was in broad daylight, it was about 10ft from the open front door, and i was at the top of the stairs. Didnt hear or see a dam thing. FFS do you have to nail everything down to proctect your stuff. Rant still on going. Stu
