Ive done mine after, alternator isnt bad, back the rear nut for the pas is a total pain.

Check the relays in the large fuse box in engine bay black and brown. Or remove the pod housing the lights, and check wiring. It held on with 2 x screws at the base

Welcome mate, dont just buy the first you see unless it stands out and clearly has proof its a good one. View a few, and it will be clear what a good one is over a shed. More cost effective in the long run. Any advice or help just post it up, we are here to help.

Martin it is looking the nuts. Still cant believe the size of the turbos and brakes, anyone else they have to be seen to give them justice. LOL GAz i have dickhead moments all the time. Give you a clue. Polish a balance bar + get it red hot + stella artois + stick tongue to bar = Run around like a total coont, screaming and throwing things

Thanks for your help guys, i tried the Maz way, put into a vice and neg tothe body of the sensor, and red wire to connector. When totally cold, shows a tiny amount of volts (probably from multimeter) but on heating the end with blow torch, volts shot up very quickly to .9 remove heat and within about 1 sec, drop dramatically to below.1 on doing the 2 min test, it shows ranges all over . This would say i have some decent O2 sensors. Bargain now, as i bought 2 spares from a member, and 2 came with my new zorsts, plus two good ones on my breaker Total of 6 good sensors. Did the same test on the dead ones of the Uk and didnt show any reading at all. Cheers. Its nice to have help returned.

Hopefully this weekend, fitting my complete s/s japspeed sytem, and locate a slight knock sound on the front suspension. Start to get bits of my breaker Jap TT to sell, to fund new skirts, 99 spec front and rear spoiler and leather re vamp of the whole interior on the UK

I have seen a couple of threads on this. What is the best way to check O2 sensors of the car, I can heat up with a blow torch. And have a multimeter But which wires should i connect it to.?? And what voltage range should show a decent sensor. Ive got 6 to check, and all are showing voltage. Either im doing it wrong or they are all shagged. Help please

Thats a good sign that it turns. My old zed engine, blew a h/gasket, and was left for 15 months with water in pistons. Totally shagged. couldnt even turn the crank with a bar, and 8ft of scoffold pole. Shouldnt be to be bad. check compression and see what it needs to bring it alive.

I dont know why, but i have a project to mess about with. Im thinking of getting a reliant robin or kitten as a shell, but fitting in a 2.8 capri V6 Essex engine in or a very tuned zetec. Not to used on the road, only at the pod. Ive seen a panda with an intergrale 4x4 in, and a robin with a rover V8 What else have people seen, i want something totally bonkers.

Just unseize it. Firstly does the crank turn? ie with a bar and socket on the crank nut if not then its a complete strip down, top to bottom, once you get it opened up, it may be more work than is worth it. Because if its that gone, its new shells, piston, rebore and that not including head work If not when its in bits, the plenium is worth £ on its own, or get it polished and worth more. Good way to learn about zeds engines too.

When i am out in my zed, im for a go with anything. Most of the time i get pesterd by crappy clio's, corsa's and other stuff. But this evening whilst out for a drive, a red Chrysler Crossfire, gets beside me at the lights. Starts revving it and waiting for the go. With no other cars about, i feel rude not to. On green off we go. but i can hear his engine screaming, im not even playing yet. he is behind me already, and i havent changed up yet. Then i go into 2nd, and when the turbos kick in, it is clearly game over, and his headlights become further and further away. The zed made it look so very easy, and whilst i grinned with a smug look. Had to slow down, to enjoy the giggle even more. As he nearly caught up, i then let him have it a 2nd time. Just hit the fun pedal and im gone again. Get to the next set of red lights. and its beside me. As i look across to the driver, he says "christ what the hell has that got in there?" All i reply is" 3 litre twin turbo" Reply " fook, just my luck, laters" Good feeling............

I have a genuine exedy clutch on my TT, plus running uprated boost. Kit comes complete with plate cover, and new bearing. I know a few others on here have them too. Sure keep using the daily driver, as i do, but i get home get the zed keys and go out. good way of relaxing. Zeds should be on the NHS. Mine is driven every day rain or shine.
