  1. Cool, agree with the choice of the touring over the ferrari or the lotus. What was it based on, looks like a vectra
  2. Both rims look good mate, but i think you have burnt too much rubber in the first pic:oops:
  3. Good on you mate, opens up more of the forum, and helps. If you think the intiation to become subbed is bad, you dont wont to know, what goes on becoming a mod...................
  4. Seriously you didnt, did you??? Didnt you see the other thread.
  5. If there are no good to you, i need them
  6. WTF????? 225/50/16 These wheels are huge. Im lost totally, take a standard set of zed wheels, paint em purple, chuck some stickers on so they look like "fender" and try and sell for lots. 1. 225/50/16 standard size width wise, but 50 on the sides, 2. Purple. If that rocks you boat. 3. "fender" is a friggin guitar, not a wheel. WHy oh why, just leave em as they were made,
  7. Or ptu connectors need a clean. When were plugs last changed?
  8. When facing the front of the zed, it is located under the passneger front wheel arch, you will need to remove the arch liner, usually screws or 10mm bolts, to access. Without removing the wheel, just need to turn full lock, you will be able to see it, but easier to work on with wheel off. Stu
  9. WOW mate, just read it, all 34 pages, serious work, brilliant job.
  10. After the discovery of knackerd sills, ive now source the repair panels. to do the outer, and inner and one return. After digging how deep the crud goes its only 2-3" from the lower base line, and about 12" in length. so there is more than enough space to get back onto existing decent metal. it needs doing as ive caught it in time before it is worse. The thing is i can borrow a welder from a friend, is it worth trying my hand at welding to sort it. or just bite the bullit and pay a mate who does it for a living but for £200-£300. Sure my mate, will do a far better job, but i like to try new things. Will i more than likely mess it up and regret not paying.
  11. Happy birthday bud. Enjoy
  12. Boldy, patience of a saint mate. Love the blending of the skirts in, all the hard work will be worth it. What colour you going???
  13. I got beaten in my Lotus Sunbeam at Santa pod, by a horrible, tatty dull green skoda estelle, that i later found had a 911 porche engine in. Always like putting a zed TT into a MK2 escort, but keeping it looking either an rs / mexico
  14. Just looked at Baz thread re old money. HAve you ever found stuff of value that other people didnt know about. Heres one for you. At a car boot sale a few years back at Matchams in Dorset. i first saw a nice wooden box in perfect condition, looked like walnut. opened it, my eyes lit up, as there was an old fly fishing wheel inside, on closer inspection, under the velvet was a bill of sale. AT this point i started shaking, after a bit of haggleing with the old lady, i bought the box and reel for £12. Had to run to the car, with girlfriend following, she states Stu you only do carp fishing, why have you bought that crappy fly reel. "Because, this crappy fly reel is an antique hardy fishing centre pin fishing reel." Of to a local fishing tackle dealer i knew, and walked away with £1200. The reel was worth about £400-£500 on its own, but due to having all the documentation and the original wooden box, worth double. WHo else has found what???
  15. Love stuff threads like this.
  16. :rockon:PMSL................
  17. I was faced with same dilema, ok turbos with Uk cats, then i decatted with a full s/s japspeed system. I noticed a big difference, in power and spool up. engine seems to sound better and pull quicker. No probs a year plus on, but it would find any weakness the turbo's have. But defo made an improvement.
  18. welcome mate, if your unsure of what to look for on a good or bad zed, just post up on here any concerns you may have, if you see one that stands out from others then dont worry about asking loads of q's to either on here or the owner. If you need any help with viewing one, try and contact folks on here for assistance, as alot will help out and may even view it with you.
