Been phoning around today and found some at my local 'Camberley Auto Factors' for £14.46. They say the QG1000 was renamed SGK1000 and it's current reference is DUG1. A lot cheaper than the £46.81 I've been quoted for the 'real thing' so I guess I'll take a chance with the cheapies!

Thanks for the interest, I'm not thinking of selling my Zed (which I love), just considering buying a nice condition gen4 Celica as an addition. I've always loved the gen4 having owned three some years ago. I believe they are a genuine classic car and they are becoming rarer as time goes by, there wasn't a single one at the recent Castle Combe Japfest. So I'm thinking of buying one as an investment before they disappear altogether. If anyone knows of a good one at a sensible price I could be interested!

When I take it back in for retest after fitting new gaiter I will ask them to show me the "fuel pipe/s corroded"

Hi - My Zed's just failed it's MoT:cry: Main reason was "Nearside front steering rack gaiter split". Any advice on where's the best place to buy one? Also an 'advisory' that the fuel pipes are corroded. Is it a big job to change them?

There's a couple of Generation 4 Celica's down that way that I could be interested in. Just wondered if there was anyone close that would take a look at them for me and save me a 280mile round trip. Cheers - Dave

Mine was running warm last summer so I had it recharged with R134 at Kwik-Fit and no leaks were identified. After a few weeks it was running warm again so I took it back and they recharged it again (for free) and double checked for leaks......none identified. They said that if it ran warm again after a few weeks, there was probably a leak from the connectors (which is why their equipment didn't register any leak). Sure enough, after a few weeks it ran warm again so I guess the connectors are leaking. Anyone know where to obtain them and how to fit them?
