datascan readout showing spike
Looks like the RPM signal is causing the ECU to try and correct all other parameters (except the speed). I would guess a CAS or ECU fault. Probably ECU given the high erratic speed reading too

Lower rad hose warning
That should be fine. The bottom hose is huge so you can replace quite a bit of it.

Lower rad hose warning
Agreed. I fitted a nice big section of S/Steel pipe with a 90 degree mandrel bend in it. Aids in cooling too as the metal passes the heat through quite quickly compared to rubber or silicon.

Car is in D2
If your running higher boost, gap your plugs to 0.8mm. Are you running series 1 or 2 PTU? Have your fuel pressure monitored while you load up the engine and see if it changes when the problem occurs.

Lost my key
Stamped on the arm of the driver door lock (just behind the key bit) is a number. A locksmith can cut a key from this number

Boot switch
Relay is easy to get to (mine is a 2 seater though so 2+2 may be somewhere else)
-
Boot switch
The problem is caused by a number of diodes in the circuits. http://300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=el&dir=&config=&refresh=&direction=forward&scale=0&cycle=off&slide=64&design=default&total=133 Connect to the blue wire on the relay. This will trigger the alarm on any door or boot opening

Boot switch
I had similar probs when fitting an alarm. In the end I connected directly to the relay behind the passengers seat that drives the interior light.

Changing locks and ignition
When we rekey ignitions, we sometimes use a very sharp punch and tap the bolts round anticlockwise of course. Takes some time though

which one to choose from?
I see what you are saying. I'm going to do some more research into it. An interesting topic ay.

which one to choose from?
Read the manual. 0 and 5 weight are not for "sustained high speed driving" as they are too thin. Your motor, your choice. I'd believe Nissan over any sales guy any day. Just my 2 cents .... errrr .... two pennies
-
which one to choose from?
0 and 5 are too thin especially as you guys are in summer. A 10W40 to a 20W50 would be a better bet

Haven't heard of a 29C. Must check that one out

help identifying this chip
Inside an ECU it would be quite safe. Even exposed to the sun it would still take years to erase. You need a direct UV light source to erase them.
