# "Consult bud", I used the same test procedure on my other car which read 0.46. By adj the TPS the CPS and WOT latches are triggered making me think that the problem does not lie within the TPS. As I said over 5.0v cont no matter were I move it. Although the WOT latch is triggered, the kickdown does not respond, I though that this function was envoked by the TPS being at WOT.??

TPS 5.01v constant, replaced ECU/TPS reset error codes, TPS is functioning as revs rise/fall on operation, kick down U/S, gear change instant "neck braking" Anyone?

Tim I thought the NSL was 60 and not 70 unless your on a motorway or on a seperated dual carrageway with a sign saying 70. I have been in your situation a few times in the past. 107mph on the M56, 63 on a 30 zone and recently 99 on the M56. I still have my license, when your in court you have to play the yes sir no sir games. If you try and be a smart arse with them then you will get the book thrown at ye. When I done 63 in the 30, the judge gave me 3 points and £200 fine (i should of snatched her hands off) but no I dident, I became aggressive and passed some sexist remarks, you know "women cannot drive and who is she to judge me". BAD IDEA..lets just say all of a sudden my points trippled and I was £400 lighter. When i looked into it I found that I could of been banned but she let me off lightly. Everytime I get pulled over now I just act as polite as poss and agree to any endorsments they might give me. This does not help you apart from the advice when you get called up...Good Luck

Hi Pal The best option is a thing called "Duffer". It is very hard to get hold off these days, in stock only certain times of the year. If you do manage to track one down it will save you alot of works and also your knuckles. Lend it to me after you have finished....lol

Kev In a weeks time I will have a 90 JAP TT for sale Engine-Box-seats-doors-boot have been sold. Most of the interior is still there all running gear still on except disc/pads. car has had a wack in its side so is propper written off. You will have to bring your own wheels down as I have my spares on it at the moment. Both wings are knacked but front chassis/bonnet look ok. I will also give you an aircon fan + anyother bit and pipes you may need. You will have to collect her or arrange collection £150 Drop me a line ASAP as she will be dog food this time next week :eek: Parts alone are worth over £1k, I need the space so come on down

Right we need some comparison here, right here goes. These are classed as right offs. Dont forget the phrase right off has nothing to do with how bad your car is, its based on a % of what your car is worth. For eg: If your car books in at 6k then the write off value will be a % of that , say 3k. Anything under then it is financialy repairible. I have had a car wrote off because someone tried to steal it and knackered the locks, A whole lockset inc fitting was over 1k so they wrote it off. I bought it back the next week for £50 went down the scrappies and £60 later the car was back to normal. If it helps I have a good black bonnet, front wings, centre panel, bumper support , well everything apart from the bumper. The whole kit would cost under £500. By no means is this a sales pitch ,iam just letting you know how cheaply you can start repairing it for.

Thing is Yas, if everyone breaks there Z cus they have a bump or something worse. Then there will be no more Zs left. A Z is not a consumable, it is a fantastic complex machine which is not availible to buy anymore. If this was any other car then it would be fixed, dont be so negitive. Whats happened to the old days when we would spend weekends banging out dents and repairing panels, seems that no-one cares anymore... It would be very sad to see her broken, she has survived 15 years and you are putting her to rest after only 1 month. The least you can do is to sell her on complete to someone who will fix her up. DONT DO IT.....
