  1. The TT ranges between 8-12 mpg, the N/A i have managed to squeeze 15-16 mpg. It has something to do with the way I drive, just luv hearing that engine screeeeeeeeem!
  2. Iam not claiming to be an expert by far. As Iam currently working on a project involving an N/A, I have spent tons of time doing research both on the web and through the techies on this forum. Its all interesting stuff as long as your willing to do some light reading ;)
  3. N/A Tubs are last. Drove 300mile round trip without them spooling up, when I got home I waited outside me house for another ten mins just in case............. .......................................................................................................... O *****cks must have another boost leek....... :headvswal I'LL get ye next time gadget
  4. Dont give up on her that easy bud, there is alot more BHP to be sqeezed of an NA than most peeps think. Drop me a line as I have done a little research
  5. Was also good to catch up with you lot, good to chat to a few old faces. worth the £80 in fuel imo. Darren..I was trying to make out with his motor but everyone kept staring..lol Anyone who did not get a CD of me today, please PM me your address and I will post one out to you..FOC.. As long as the future midlands meets are not 1 inch further than todays meet, I will try and attend as many as poss, I will of course bring the consult and might even consider cleaning me car next time
  6. lol I had the very same idea...good old front page Anyways thanx peeps, I will prob be better starting all over again.
  7. Right the pics now work as I have done what you said and manualy copied them to the main_1 folder. I have also copied the path strings from the working code. Only thing left now is when I click on an image which has a Hypertext link attached to it, the link destination is changing when it is copied to another machine. Is it normal for a HTML editor to autodiscover its own links if it cannot find the originals?
  8. here goes, when I run it on another machin the file locations appear to automaticle change to the incorrect target, mainly the pics and links Code has been removed to protect the innocent

  10. Nice 1 bud Using good old front page XP, Have built a page and am trying to save it as a single web page. When I select save as Frontpage template, it only has the pics set to be saved as embedded files???. I have manually altered the HTML code to look for all images in the same folder. Every time i save it and run it on another pc, the folders/files cannot be found. When I run the page from the main PC from which is was written all works fine. As you can tell iam new to all this but I have to have this project complete by the morning.
  11. need help , anyone here

Although its on the other side of the globe, I will come down as I would like to meet up with you guys. If I get enough interest I will bring the Conzult and will give everyone a free run.. I can also bring down parts which a couple of you have ordered from me. If anyone else needs any bits then let me know as it will save $$$$$ in postage
  13. No Pete I know who did yours and it deffo wasent the same company. Jacked sills are very common if the garage is not aware of there weakneses. All the other bits are also common if the car is left in the rain/snow for months and if the mechanics have little or no respect for it.
  14. I have a Jap Pass mirror in stock bud :D

We have a couple of sets left in stock to clear, drop us a line for prices
  16. Spent 9 1/2 k on mine plus 6k purchase price. Only covered 2400 miles in nearly 4 years. I have bought another donor car with a good engine and will be doing a transplant in the not so distant future. Its spent 8 months in the paintshop and 9 months having several engine rebuilds. So its only been in my possesion for 2 years.. Jacked sills, rusty brakes, ripped seats, scratched paint are all things I had to shell out for when the car returned home
  17. Mike were did that pic come from, have you got a link
  18. If its an auto, I was speaking to a guy the other day who reconditions the Z auto boxes. He is based down south somewhere and he said because the Z auto box possesses such old technology, it can be reconditioned for around £380 (yes that’s not a typo) ...Apparently for all the parts alone cost around £90 the rest is labour. I will phone him back this week and get the company name. He tells me that he has already done some work for guys on this forum........ I dont like seeing people being ripped off, your best pulling the car away from the garage and have a local member meet up with to diagnose the problem.
  19. The pipes I bought were simply called de-cat pipes. It was the whole pipe from the manifold to the middle box. However people also refer to de-cat pipes as the small section which replaces the actual cat. Simple rule bud, go for the long one
  20. I understand the hush hush matey. Hope you do better than I did. My biggest mistake was not to document all the events. You think every single week oh its nearly there, wont be long now, will pick it up next week, I know you just live in hope from week to week. I gave up on advice from my solicitor, he said it will be more pain than gain :headvswal
  21. Hi pal welcome to the club (well once subscribed). As the other guys have said the problem is with your MAF (mass airflow sensor) or MAF circuit, before you buy another try removing the connector plug and giving it a good clean. With the MAF/circuit failing you will not be able to rev passed 3k, the car will still run though taking its signals from the TPS (throttle position sensor). The MAF's are a common failure with these cars, being so old. In my experience when the MAF fails, it fails period. You say it only happens sometimes or have I read it wrong??. If it is intermittent then I would say its probably the connector as appose to the MAF itself. ECU The ECU if my memory serves me right has only 1 red led, the ECU though has 2 states of operation. These 2 states are displayed with the 1 led using fluctuating pulses (you will also see this pulse on your dashboard). You have probably heard this before, but every problem ever reported on the Z can be found on this site via the search engine. Have a look around you may be surprised. ConZult Is a fantastic tool, I bought one of Danny and use it daily. For the price I highly recommend buying one. 4 hours at a Nissan garage and you could of bought one. Anyways good luck and if you get stuck don’t be afraid to ask. That’s what we are all here for :D PS..Before you go out and buy any parts for your car, ask the guys on here. Dave C
  22. I work at VM in Ellesmere Port, Although the VX220 is not built in this country I might be able to help with some info.
  23. Pete the story you have told us, is a mirror image of what happened to me with my green Z. Although they said it would take 2 weeks, I actually pulled it out from there after being messed around for 9 1/2 months. I paid them just over 2K half way through the job (big mistake). I ended up taking the car to a local Z specialist who got it running within 2 days. Although its now running the mechanic who fixed it told me that the engine has not been put together correctly and requires an overhaul. So 2K down + tax + insurance + MOT covered in scratches and oil...does this sound familiar... I spoke to a solicitor who told me that the case could take years and even if I do win I still might not get my money back. I bit the bullet and bought another engine for her. PS...This is not the same garage as Paul went to before anyone jumps to the wrong conclusions. The only answer in this day n age is Violence.. Go and pay them a visit with your buddies
  24. Pete this sounds like someone I know round the Midlands way...Am I close??
