do the other 7 holes line up? if they do then i recon the guy you got it from only fitted 7 bolts in it, or its a universal fitment and you only put the bolts in that line up with the crank.

get the system pressure tested this will show up any leaks and weak spots in the system

I had a very strong smell of petrol i could smell from inside the car too, couldnt find any pipes leaking, found the top of one of the injectors wet with petrol took plenum off and injectors out and found the injector was cracked under the cap

Unfortunatly England as a country does not exist anymore we have lost our identity unlike Scotland and Wales (no offence to the Welsh and Scotish) who are allowed to call themselves Welsh and Scotish and are proud to say what they are and proud to fly their flags and why shouldnt they if they are proud to say it. can you be a bit more spercific as to where the knocking is coming from, you say the rear but top or bottom of the engine? Are you sure its not a tapping from a lazy lifter as its been sat for a while?

As i said in my earlier post global warming is a natural phenomena as is the next Ice age that will follow it, maybe the sharp rise in temperature is a natural and would of happened anyway or maybe we have just speeded it up with the felling of forests and burning of fossil fuels in the last 200 years. Its something we should all be aware of i think, not just for ourselves but for our children and future generations when we are long gone, the attitude of why should i bother if the bloke next door dont bother, thats just selfish, why not be the one to set the example instead of being selfish and burying our heads in the sand? That dosnt justify the money they are paid for kicking a bag of wind about, what about the forces they fight for the country risking their lives, surly that justifys the forces being paid more than what they get more risky and important than kicking a bag of wind about?
