  1. That is true, as i said it seems a good deal, (price wise) but also added "you pay your money, you take your chance" Thought that would of said it all and make someone think twice.
  2. Volvo V70 2.4 Turbo AWD Its got everything you need click
  3. i've never heard of them myself but he has a high positive feed back and 1 negative in last 12 months. Found 3 people in the feed back comments with zeds had purchased this item (only went up to page 13 though) Seems good deal, but you pay your money, you takes your chance, im sure someone else has proberbly heard of them
  4. its a good job hes dead then
  5. Rocker covers (valve covers) 2 each side are under the plenum, you cant really get a proper look at them with the plenum on im afraid. But this is what we are talking about
  6. here you go try this
  7. pass me the tissues too
  8. A leaking oil feed pipe to the turbo could. And a leaking rocker cover, oil running onto the manifold. If your getting blue smoke from the exhaust it could even be valve stem seals or worn piston rings/bore.
  9. The only reference i can find is this, but you have proberbly found this pic yourself
  10. Im not defending anyone, but it still dosnt prove it is the same car as said in 1 of the last posts A run of the DVLA entry for J9VXR reads this: Date of Liability 01 01 2008 Date of First Registration 08 07 2004 Year of Manufacture 2004 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1998CC CO2 Emissions 202g/Km Fuel Type Petrol Export Marker Not Applicable Vehicle Status Licence Not Due Vehicle Colour RED Vehicle Type Approval M1 And for GK54 ZZL the entry is: Date of Liability 01 10 2007 Date of First Registration 01 09 2004 Year of Manufacture 2004 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1998CC CO2 Emissions 202g/Km Fuel Type Petrol Export Marker Not Applicable Vehicle Status Licence Not Due Vehicle Colour RED Vehicle Type Approval M1 Both DVLA checks carried out above now relate to two different cars, because J9 VXR has been transferred to a different car. So it figures that date of first registration will now be different. We'd need access to old DVLA data to prove, beyond reasonable doubt, that J9 VXR and GK54ZZL were the same car at one point!
  11. On the right of the pic is the turbo rad take off the rad cap as shown, (its on the left side of rad in pic as thats a rear view) but on right hand side of rad when looking at the rad in the car and fill with water, this will take some time. When the rad is full you will have to start the engine to get the water into the block the water in the rad will go down so you will need to keep topping it up for a while, by this time you should be able to see a leak. Good luck

I think thats just the attitude young females (note i didnt say ladies) have down this end of the world they seem to think they can talk to men like shit. However there are certain Police Officers that are on a power trip and DO think they are a cut above and walk round with their nose in the air, i've had a few run ins with those type in the past, and i tell you never stand in the way of an ambitious man/woman especially if he/she is a copper. You proberbly ran into a couple of men hateing lesbian coppers, you should of said. And what one do you pretend to be Cagney or Lacey?
  13. Sorry my mistake just read you got noise after you switched off :headvswal Could be the sound of what little water was left in the system boiling up
  14. So you let the engine tick over with it over heated? Engine proberbly pre detting due to over heating or oil got to hot and thin. Letting it tick over to cool the tubs down when youve over heated is a bit like shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted, no water to cool anything down.
  15. i have 1 from Pete Shrimp with the gold platted terminals, cant tell you if it makes a difference as cant remember what it was like before, but it certainly hasnt done any harm
  16. If we ever get in the house we are buying, there is enough room to one side of the property to park at least 4 or 5 cars side by side, so first project is going to be a nice new garage/workshop, well a man has to have his own domaine and i've never had the luxery of a workshop at home before so am well excited, but frustrated as its taking so long to move in, would be nice to get it built before winter so i can put the car away.
  17. yep i can just see you now mate It could do with a few hanging baskets though, just the finishing touches
  18. If the rep is a nice tastey bird spend the tenner on a room, and then see how far you get with her ;)
  19. I believe the idler pulleys dont come with the 60k service kit but they come with the 120k service kit. Mike Feeney (mjp) in the trader section is the best person to ask

Darrell i wasnt able to make your event anyway bud as i'm working on sat i sorry bud
  21. You might as well if you can do it. Did you get a new belt tensioner and idler pulleys you should change them too, along with the 2 small rubber water hoses that come out from the engine and the vvt springs and O rings too
  22. I've said it before i think the southeast section is too large and that is the problem because its a such a large area there is always going to be a fair bit of travelling for someone. It needs splitting up into sections
  23. get yourself to Dover or any port near you and cadge a lift off a Trucker or Coach going across but dont forget your passport
