This is the scabs that have appeared over all of the wheels, obviously the Lacquer is breaking up, for reasons unknown the car has never been driven hard over stony ground so doubt its stone chips, so wondered if i could rub the Lacquer off and re Lacquer? THe scuffs are self explainery

The ECU check you can do yourself following this link click A compression tester can be purchased, they arnt expensive and that you can do yourself too. The rest i wouldnt worry too much about if the car is running fine but im sure a local member will have a look for you if you asked, they might even have a compression tester for your piece of mind. See how you get on with the ECU check. And to be honest the best way to learn about these cars is to do what you can yourself. And you might want to do yourself a huge favor and subscribe, it will be the best 20 quid you will spend, trust me, and you will get access to the whole site and traders section too :D

Has anyone attempted to do D.I.Y Alloy wheel referb? I noticed after cleaning the wheels, what looked like light brown scabby marks on the dish, on closer inspection it looks like cracks in the Lacquer and in some places the Lacquer has come off. Also has gougies from kerbing on the edge of the rim. Is it worth my while attempting to rub the Lacquer off and re Lacquering the wheels my self? I know you can get these Alloy Wheel referb kits which are supposed to repair the gouges etc. Has anyone used one of these kits or is it best to take to a proper wheel referbing centre? Cheerz

Unfortunatly these Micro minded tiny cocked Tw@ts in their 4x4's think they are hard and untouchable in their metal boxes of security. Years a go when my kids where little we where coming home along the A127, in the mirror i could see a 4x4 a good distance behind me so i started to overtake the slower car in front, due to the other slow cars on the inside i couldnt pull strait in and i was doing about 75mph, this 4x4 came flying up my arse and he could see i couldnt go anywhere so he decided to make 2 lanes into 3 and undertook me between me and the car on the inside forcing me and the other driver over so he could get through, missus was screeming there is babies in the back as he pulled up next to us to laugh at us he could see the kids in the back which where 2 and 3 year olds at the time but he didnt give a fook he just stayed there laughing with no attempt to go past, luckely the guy behind see what was happening and pulled back so i could slow down to let him in, he was laughing then untill i cought him up at lights i jumped out and went fooking mental at him i must admit i punchrd fook out of him and he could do fook all about it as he was strapped in his car it was the guy who pulled back earlier who stopped me and told me he saw everything and had already reported him. He wasnt so cocky in front of the 2 tarts he had in the car then. Was shitting myself for weeks after incase the law came round for beating him up and booting his door in as i walked off, but never heard a thing.

lol you wont get the boat off the trailer on to dry land without damaging the hull and if you did you wouldnt get it back on again, you have to float boats on and off the trailer unless you get it crained off. Yep they live on the trailer out of water

Then youll have to put the boat on the roof rack lol or take the boat with you and put the bonnet in the boat

I would much prefer it to look more like this one, i love the sides of the bumper the way the valance is parallel to the ground and follows the seal line, not keen on the way bumpers go up at the rear, personally

Did you clean the ECU temp sender as suggested? Its the yellow connector on the hard water pipe. There is a dozen reasons why it isnt boosting properly and to try and diagnose the problem without actually looking at the car is a prosess of illimination. I had a simillar problem with mine, i pin pointed it to the injectors, it was 1 of the plastic caps that directs the spray had cracked and was covering the jet so that cylinder wasnt fueling correctly at boost. I noticed you said you was running at 1.25 bar of boost. What mods have you got ie chip, tubs, injectors, boost jets etc if you are running stock then you proberbly maxed out. Start looking in that direction too. Another thing to look at is the fuel pressure regulator it may not be keeping the correct amount of fuel pressure, just another suggestion

That insurence quote, was it for a UK or Jap spec? You have to be carefull when getting quotes as they vary with UK and Jap spec cars, a UK spec will be cheaper and is just called a Nissan 300zx. Jap spec are known as the Fairlady, bear that in mind if you decide to get a zed and make sure your getting the right quote for the right car.

Thats reasonable, will have to put a post up in the National Events to see how many are up for it.
