  1. wondered why the dog been following me about, bast@rds waiting to pounce one false sneeze and its game over
  2. no need to set anything the car should just fire up, the only thing that might need a little tweeking is the throttle cable and cruise control adjustement on the accelorater drum depending how much you slacked them off by in the first place, the drum itself is spring loaded so will go back in the closed position as soon as the cables are taken off it
  3. bring back the cane!
  4. cant concede to it, the flu jab is for old people lol
  5. thats charming that is, wasnt going to anyway  im going for a smoke fook it :D
  6. yeah i know the problem dosnt seem so bad once you've slept on it  prob coz you sold your car wayne, i usually get it if im buying a new car
  7. Another fooking cold on the way, it will be the forth this year. Fooking country and its fooking weather :xxx:
  8. A simple thing to over look, are the coil pack connectors on in the right fireing order? 1 and 2 can get mixed up, ive done that myself :smash:
  9. The excess fuel consumption could be the Fuel pressure regulator not returning excess fuel back to the tank or fuel pressure damper not absorbing fuel pressure changes when the injectors open and close. I've just read your post again. You have just had T28's fitted, and you say your fitting injectors? What size injectors? Whats been done to the ECU, have you had it chipped and re-mapped? If you have had it re-mapped for bigger injectors and your running stock injectors you might be maxin out the stock injectors, or your over fueling? Have you had a fuel cut defender fitted too?
  10. just thought of something else you can try. Disconnect the battery over night this will reset the ECU
  11. i loved that program :hyper:
  12. Another thing to remenber is, these cars dont like the hot weather and dont run as well due to the less dense air
  13. Idle problem causes Check pcv valves, squeeze the pipe by the pcv valve with pliers if the engine speed rises or the tick over is smoother you have faulty pcv valves. Fuel pressure regulater. EGR valve stuck open at idle Idle air adjuster and or the Air regulater valve Safety boost issue when the engine is hot is more than likely as said before the ECU temp sender or harness faulty, code 13 dosnt allways show up, the sender is sending the wrong info to the ECU, telling it, its cold when in fact its hot so keeping you in safety boost
  14. you can always tell a good curry by the quality of your Gandii's revenge in the morning
  15. I guess your going for the EGR by pass? Have you de-catted? as the EGR works by putting some of the hot exhaust gasses back into the engine for a second burn, without it it can make the cats get a bit hotter. Anyway as regards the pipes to the plenum you can make a couple of plates up and bolt the plates back up over the holes. At least removing the EGR will be something less to go wrong which can cause rough idle or stalling if it gets stuck on at idle when it should be off, and vise versa can cause power loss during accelaration if its stuck in the off position when it should be on.
  16. i bet you say that to all the boys lol
  17. And the two metal E.G.R pipe to Plenum gaskets, not too crucial but might as well do the job properly while your at it
  18. It all depends how far you want to go, if its just a 3 or 4 psi increase then its explained in the last page, ie ECU chipped and re-mapped, Electric Boost controller fitted, (Boost can be adjusted) other alternatives are Boost jets (cheapest option, but can cause Boost spikes) or using a manual Boost controller (not recomended) I wouldnt go much more than 12psi on a stock engine, IC's Injectors, Tubs. Once you start getting near the 1bar mark tubs, injectors, IC's are starting to get near their maximum. You could fit bigger IC's too which will also help
  19. Fooking good i like it when the Bull gets its own back
  20. Cheers Steve, im not intending to touch the spokes of the wheel they are fine, just the gouges and the scabs on the rims and getting them pollished up again, maybe i will give it a go. Although am now thinking of doing the spokes in Black Anthrosite? :D
  21. Bloody hell there a blast from the past. I used to love slot mags i remember when you used to see mag wheels on neally everything, Escorts, cortinas, capris etc and all the yanks had em too. Good work there too, they will set the car off a treat
  22. Phew thanks for that pete, dont think i have the patients for all that if thats whats involved, they can be someone elses problem to do i think lol. I must admit though your wheels look spot on bud, all the hard work has payed off
  23. I wouldnt even go that high 12psi would be max, that ample enough on a stock engine
  24. ££££££££. Engine out turbo's replaced or tubs rebuilt you can be looking at a bill of at least £1,500 give or take unless you can do the work yourself
  25. And not forgetting having the ECU chipped and re mapped. You wont get any more boost out of it if you still have the stock chip even with a EBC and the stock fuel mapping wont give you the extra fuel needed either
