  1. What valves are they, and are they adjustable? They wont sound if your driving normally as the car is running in vacuum they will only sound when you are genarating boost hence why they work when you boot it.
  2. Sorry to hear your turning it in mate, can understand if its taking up most of your time. Good to meet you though, the car will live on so part of you will always be on here 1 way or the other lol. Take care mate.

  5. yep, its become a dog eat dog world. As im typing this, one of those no win no fee injury claim ads has come one, you also got those to thank for peoples greed too. But if someone went into the back of me i would want what i could get out of them, insurence company want to give you next to fook all, they wouldnt give you that if they didnt have to. Insurence dont take into account the hours of loving resturation and care you have put into your pride and joy, or the money and time you have put into the car and in most cases your not going to be able to replace what you just lost with the money insurence will pay out, and thats after fighting to high heaven with them for months and months, i know through experience. Then you have the inconvenience of it all.
  6. No offence Athene, but if you hit someone up the arse they would do the same to you, they wouldnt worry about "im sorry i didnt mean to do it" Its the way life has become now, unfortunatly.
  7. Fooking police state now, big brother is taking over!

  9. up grade your brakes first if i was you, going fast is easy stopping aint so easy with stock brakes
  10. Started my working life as an apprentice mechanic went through collage eventually got sick of coming home covered in oil and grease, went on a year carpentry course and worked in the building trade untill the resession, then got a job with the Forestry comission tree felling, went back to collage another 3 years to learn Tree Surgery and started my own business untill i got all my tools and equipment stollen. Now on the Railway Train Driving. So quite a varied list of job changes and all been successful in their own right. Knowladge is never waisted and never too old to change direction mate, always earn a quid or 2 with more strings you have to your bow

  15. Saz you can say what you think, its just no one listens it falls on deaf ears.
  16. Its the same old senario, hardly ever seen on the roads and not enough publicity about these cars anymore, none of the youngsters know what they are. All they read about is Skylines, Scoobys etc so thats all they know about, to them the Skylines are the be all and end all. Sort of makes me proud to know no one knows what it is i feel unique and not 1 of the sheep.
  17. Lol thats as bad as the time when i was at the lights and a guy had his young lad with him, who was asking his dad what all the cars where and when it came to my car the boy said whats that car Dad, to which his Dad replied "I think its a Skyline" :headvswal I did snigger to myself
  18. yep i got cought up in that too M25/A13 junction, all day it was blocked. I think 1 of the victims was a 13 year old lad riding pillion on his dads motor bike. Very sad.
  19. That is a mess, can only say thank god it wasnt as serious as it looks, if i saw that car in a breakers my first thought would of been someone must of died in that car, but thank god no one did. It just goes to show how we take our own lives in our hands everytime we get behind the wheel. In a way its a testiment to the strength and safety aspect built into these cars
  20. O, sorry to hear that mate you havnt had much luck with these cars to say the least, i hope it hasnt put you off owning another one day im sure you will be the wiser and put it down to experience hope your still gonna be around once the car has gone
  21. As Sarah says look on the bright side bud as they say one door closes another slams in your face lol, at least if its a member buying it you can keep an eye on it. So what has soured your ownership of the car, you was so proud of it?
  22. can also be the gearbox mounting thats another cause and a common fault and often mistaken for prop centre bearing
