  1. Ah man thats just minging.
  2. Looks proper street fighter style, bit ott for me though. I've never been a fan of those chrome door strips.
  3. Nice, welcome aboard.
  4. Braided flexi lines and a master cylinder brace will definately add to a sharper response.
  5. Right well let us know how you get on, oh and I think we definately need some pics of this job mister!
  6. Ha thats a classic, the old bloke accross the street (who reckoned the Supra on my drive was an aston martin or something when I first moved into the street) thought the Zed was newish like an 08-09, I said well it's about 17 year old pointing at the M on the reg plate, he thought it was a private plate... ...to which I said "nope" shaking my head and to which he then pointed out the last four digits and said "well it clearly says 'DOGS"..... Which I then noticed it did lol, well it says 0OGS I might sell it to a dog enthusiast lol. Sorry for going off on one there but thats how the conversation went lol. Oh and just to add, no he had no idea what the Zed was either, (I wasn't surprised there then) he took a stab at porsche then I put him out of his mysery, not literally of course, I told him it was a 300ZX and still looked vacant so I said it was a nissan and he didn't and still doesn't believe me. I might show him the owners manual next time he's out watering his plants.
  7. Yeah mines ecu's are the dogs, I had an r33 gts-t years ago and I replaced the ecu with a mines fettled one, as mentioned above it sounded different and felt like a different car, absolutely awesome, but when I'd finished playing the car wouldn't switch off even with the key out! Just kept on running there, so I had to replace the original ecu and car switched off fine, so I was well gutted, couldn't believe the difference the mines fettled ecu made though.
  8. So you want to fill it with expanding foam, fit it which will flex it from it's original state, then when the foam sets it will keep it in it's new state and reinforce it? It's that daft it might just work.
  9. ^Now that sounds like the kind of advice you want^
  10. Ah right, so you're saying it's not wide enough where it joins the wing? Sounds like this could probably turn out to be more trouble than it's worth.
  11. This is common with aftermarket fibreglass bumpers, bad fitting, probably just needs a bit shaving off here and there. My advice is let someone experienced in bodykit fitting take a look at it.
  12. Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and take a look around once in a while, you could miss it. Classic.
  13. I had this problem on my last zed some years ago now, I was getting the same type of noise when braking hardish and I couldn't put my finger on what it was. After much head scratching, I called out the wife to press my brake pedal while I looked at the slave cylinder so I could check for leakages or anything that would become obvious, what I noticed was the whole servo and slave cylinder moved forward (bulkhead flex) so this made me think that some seal or gasket somewhere was breaking caused by this bulkhead flex. So just as an experiment before I went to the expense of elimination by changing parts etc, I fitted a brake master cylinder stopper from MJP eastern Auto costing me £29.99. This fixed it and improved the braking power because the pressure applied to the brake pedal was not being lost in bulkhead flex and directed 100% to the slave cylinder. The master cylinder stopper is an adjustable brace which bolts directly to the suspension mounting and stops the slave cylinder from moving forwards on braking, so my theory in this case worked, the flex was causing a seal to break.
  14. Oh yeah. Everyone looks at it, people walk up to it saying "nice car mate, what is it?" To which I reply "what do you think it is?" Which makes them step back scratching their heads whilst raising both eyebrows looking puzzled, one guy said "yeah right" and walked away shaking his head and grinning like I was joking when I told him it was a nissan lol. Love it.
  15. Was a good night dispite the adverse weather conditions, looking forward to the next tunnel run hopefully in the summer.
  16. Happy birthday mister. :happybday:
  17. Just noticed I've just gone and repeated what Dazvert said, d'oh.
  18. We share the same name! Welcome aboard, oh and also the T-bar roofs are also known as targa tops or targas.
  19. Ah yeah, what was I thinking?
  20. You say when you're gunning it and lift off you're getting a puff of white smoke, this makes me think turbo's. When you lift off after gunning it, your wastegates open and if your turbo seals are worn then you'll get a nice big cloud of smoke every time you lift off boost. Might not be as bad as it looks mate.
  21. So I'm thinking £1500, surely not? What year was it registered?
  22. I actually made it smaller. Take a pic of your car, upload it to photobucket and it'll appear large, reduce and crop it to whatever size suits and maybe add text or effects with the editing tools on photobucket, save then copy the url link into the sig box.
  23. Yeah thanks boyo, it took me a while and I almost went crazy, but got there in the end.
