Is the oil pressure monitored by the ecu?
Right then, just searched through all the oil pressure sender posts. I now know that the sender is either above the oil filter or on the passenger side near the engine mount. My car is an early one so its quite possible that the sender will be above the oil filter. What I now want to know is are both the possible sender positions the same size thread? If my car is an early one and the sender is above the filter can I still fit my sender on the passenger side or is that not an option? I dont really want to fit my sender above the oil filter as it looks like a cow to get to and has issues with the steering rack. Hopefully it will be on the passenger side and be easy to get to! I'd rather just bin the nissan one and put my new sender straight in but its never that easy!

Bloody weather!
Not driven my z in nearly 2 weeks due to burnt out maf and other bits. Finally got it all back together and was going to drive it to work this morning as i have been longing to all week! Opened the curtains to see it was pissing it down! - Crap! Not driving it in the rain as it was the rain that killed my maf. Took the fiesta to work and half way there it stopped raining and the sun came out! Grrrr Bloody weather!

Think my heater matrix has gone ;-(
blowers work fine mate, as will air con, just no heat I was thinking it might be better for the engine as the cooling system is more direct and less chance of an air lock

How important are the?
Rubbers that the bottom of the rad sits in? Changed my fan last night as it was cracked. Did it with the rad half in and the water pipes still connected as was being lazy! Couldnt get the left side back in properly and the rubber fell out the bottom of the car doh! The right side is still in and it still seems pretty tight, the left side is held in place by the pipes as well as the top mount so shouldn't be a problem should it?

Skyline price help please
1.6 bar! = Wizz pop bang doh!
-
Would you?
I cant vote! there is no option for strangle?!
-
Gentlemen. Start your engines.
I have one, but not wired it up yet. Would need to add a cut off switch as well as my 4 year old son who sits in the passanger seat loves pressing buttons! Engauging the start motor at 80mph is probably a bad idea!

Think my heater matrix has gone ;-(
Slick pete has a heater matrix for a tenner if you want one. I bypassed mine, couldnt be bothered to take the dash out as it takes about 12 hours to do. See this link http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=74525&highlight=heater and this thread http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=76885&highlight=Running

How did you get to a 300zx?
I wanted a skyline for years and test drove a couple of gts-ts, wasnt that impressed and didnt have enough cash for a gtr. A mate had a z32 but it was a dog, I liked the looks and noise it made so ended up with a "good" one! I'm now 23 and have a long car history for my age. 1. Mini city E 998cc, had it for 3 years and fully restored it 2. 1974 Mk1 Escort 1300GT in purple! Loved this car but was putting to many miles on it driving to work every day. 3. K series rover metro I then had a go in an xr2 and was hooked - wanted power! (well if you can call it that)! 4. Blue xr2 - lowered - wicked fun till the mrs crashed it! 5. Grey xr2i - nowhere near as good as an xr2, handeled badly! 6. Metro turbo - Was fun for about 20min till the headgasket went, twice! 7. First child arrived and got a sensible 2 litre laguna and a deawoo for the mrs. 8. the deawoo broke so gave the mrs the laguna and bought a rover 620ti with 200bhp as I missed having something fast! 9. My z, got bored of front wheel drive and understeer! 10. 1.3 fiesta, the z got too expensive to run every day! I bought 11 cars in 6 years and 10 of them in the last 3! Hopefully the z will last a bit longer :headvswal

Turbo
I just used a bit of wire about 2cm long and bent it over - poked it into the holes on the connector for 3 seconds with the ignition on, it will then flash the error until you turn the ignition off for more than 10sec
