  1. Hi AdamR,according to Johns figures that i have, times as follows, Trax 2002,0-60mph= 4.3 seconds 0-100MPH= 12.8 seconds(santa pod) 1.25 miles =speed reached 156.3mph Standing quarter mile=13.2 seconds all done in 2002,but not sure which times go with which engine as it was replaced around june/july time after a dissaster that i witnessed on a rolling road sesion, plus the replacement engine was from a manual not an auto,i think this changed the way the z ran slightly, but cant remember as to how, plus later in year he fitted the HKS ALC to the auto box which made some more difference ;)
  2. Stuart, strange thing about the EVO,it was very new,and it threw a rod through the sump, oil all over track,i have a feelimg the motor was a bit too new, tight as they say, maybe that was the reason:(

Tim,i get what you mean now, would be very exspensive to use 3M Finish at that amount,i cant remember what the sprayers used to remove overspray of that size area, they used 2pak for all items to be sprayed, there is something but blowed if i can remember,if i can will ask a old mate tommoro who still does it on the side,he will know, just a suggestion, have you tried petrol or deisel,. Just thought ScotchBrite pads will get most off no probs, just need a bit of elbow grease, allso has the benifit of doing a good spruce up on the parts you mentioned!;)

Well,in me old job of 6 years of pre paint prep(aluminium) and metal finishing i have not come across anything better than 3M Finish, should do the trick, and if you need to bring your paint back to life or sort out discoluration, scratches, marks of any kind then its the dogs, costa packet mind, but the best!:D :D
