  1. Here ya go http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/FAQ/FAQpages/hesitate2.html I did most of what you see as a matter of course last week, made a huge difference to the running ,tickover, starting, just take your time with it,then the results will follow.
  2. Have you cleaned out TBs and MAF. Tony
  3. Yes i have one(last time i looked)will sort it out,but seems since i moved i have lost stuff:rolleyes: Load of stuff on here if you look, think tho the one you want is the Best Motoring 300zx Battle. http://www.dpccars.com/nissan/nissan.htm Tony
  4. Just been out to check, and i think it may have been alterd at some point,as i have 2 rear fog either far end, then now 2 reversing lower clear, indicators clear side, then side lights upper, then brake lights upper Tony
  5. that me reversing lights not working, had a good look at the wiring, could not see a problem, then it dawned on me, i have a 99 spec rear lights, but, the centre panel is black(painted out)sure enough, this was the problem, they worked but you will never see them:rofl:.So what to do! Drill Saw a hole 28mm next to(not too close as you dont want both bulbs touching or and not able to push the reverse light all the way)the indicator light(lower clear reflector on mine)then push in place,do same other side and thats it,5 mins job done and it fits nice and tight too,no need to cut out any staggerd recess for it to lock in place,Plastic is very soft when cutting, carefull not to use too much pressure or you run the risk of damaging the reflector when going through.Looking at it i cant see why this can not be done for a rear fog light too, saves having one of those fix to body yourself dangly jobs. Tony:cool: ps,found i have auto box sump plug too:dance:
  6. Just a small vid of my zorst, done on my phone,no smoke at all(if you turn sound way up you can hear them burblin(this was after first start up after doing TB clean+Inj+coil conectors.:D Click here to watch 300ZX-ZORST While under car i allso noticed its had a sump plug fitted to autobox sump pan, nice bonus:cool: Tony
  7. Here ya go, http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=23153&highlight=wood+ramps Plenty of lift,if you go to top run its very high,i normaly use 1 run before top,you can get front up ok too,but you will need to drive over a couple small wood blocks to make sure you do not catch the first run, works well for me. Tony
  8. rear box:D Yesterday did a few jobs on the Z,cleaned under whole car, then underseald the lot, cleaned back box's(before and after pics shows)then cleaned all Inj conectors(very green and furry)water+fan conectors, throttle bodies, coil packs, today will relocate the PTU and set the TPS,oh what fun:rofl:at least it keeps me busy in week and its jobs that need doing occasionaly on these cars anyways,i enjoy it to be honest. Tony ps,the legendary home made car ramps still going strong.:D
  9. Good idea mate, will have to be weekdays as i work weekends, will get back to you soon.
  10. Do you still need it. Tony
  11. That is,without doubt, gorgeous on the eye, well done, Tony
  12. Thanks all, have now got it home, drive back was very very good,Z handles very nicely, never driven one with the hicas eliminator bar fitted, and its had polybush's done in past, and i think the suspension sorted.Boost's as should, can hear them whistling up,no smoke anywheres,no smells,a few tiny rust spots but nothing worrying, leather is soooo good, amazing realy considering age of car, allround very happy and i must say it looks good.Think it shows that the Z has had 4 previous club memebers, been well looked after, not messed with,a few choice upgrades done, every straight indeed.:) Tony
  13. FOUND IT! have sent you a PM:D
  14. ooops,pics.
  15. No8 aka "The Black Pearl" :D picking it up tommoro, just up the road too,so to speak Tony:cool:
  16. Ok,great,if i not find it in the Traders section on here try MJP,DTA etc, they will sort you out.
  17. £2 will do for post, but, let me dig it out first, not seen it since moving house,so loads of crap to sort in garage,if i not find it by Sat then its done a runner:D
  18. To be honest Stuart its common practice to fill the filter before fittin,on some cars though its not possible, like M5 E34 beemers,as the filter is in top engine bay and filter faces thread down.As for excess fuel,no should not be a problem, would rather have oil round me internals first before i fire any engine up anyways.I never had a problem doing any car this way. Tony:cool:
  19. Looks to me as though you need the harness that the white connector goes into, the spare grey wire i think goes to the handbrake wire/feed under the centre console.I have a new HKS harness in me garage somewhere, will try and dig it out,if i find it you can have it. Tony
  20. I think its always good practice to fill the new filter with oil before fitting it,normaly about half a ltr on a Z,saves the engine running dry for those vital few seconds, with the PTU disconected so it does not fire up,turn engine over for 30 secs just to get it lubed up,then reconect. Tony
  21. Why not improve the original by welding in your own extra baffles, been done on loads of track cars, mate of mine did it to his E30,and old RS Turbo, always a good idea to run with more oil than normal in sump than needed when trackday running,1 extra ltr, sometimes more, could make all the difference, and it wont harm it,as its being thrown around in the sump on the corners,or drifting if thats ya fancy. Tony
  22. Do you need the seperate harness for it,post a pic anyways, will have more of an idea then.
