  1. Been in touch with him with a view to buying, but it will need a good wedge to sort, same old Z mis-hap,rad cap worn, decides to empty itself, overheats, real shame, how many times this happens to Zs,wonder how many on here keep an eye on the rad cap for wear, for the sake of a few quid. Tony
  2. Hope alls well after the long move away, and you have celebrated in style. You may or may not have internet as yet but just in case you see this, good luck bud,Tony
  3. Good luck with your new venture mate, sounds interesting, lets us know when your up and runnin, will try to get up sometime
  4. With what you have said i would be very carefull, agree with stenorth's views and how many times have i seen on here people that buy from a garage forecourt thinking they have a great deal only to find its a bag of shite a few weeks later that require at least another 1k to sort, most garages have not got a clue when it comes to these cars, most run a mile and wont work on them, they clag them up and cant wait to shift it especialy if its not running right, personaly i would stay away from this one.Buy from a specialist/importers of good repute in jap cars or one off here thats been looked after and runs sweet. Tony
  5. I have used and recomend Lucas Racing Semi-Synthetic ATF http://www.lucasoil.co.uk/motorsports.php

  7. No not PC World, got the quote from a local small indi pc seller/repairer, i did look at a place in Micro Mart, they been in there for years so should know there stuff, there price was £120.Thing is if some one knows what there doin and have done it before then i dont mind them doing it,tho if it goes again soon after then maybe i get some kind of support/back up from say the place in Micro Mart, but its like everything else, who knows,i remember trying to get some place to do my daughters ipod battery, wanted a fortune,so thought give it a go,was a bit risky, especialy when it was in bits but turned out ok,but a lap top pin is way above me to be honest :D
  8. Will take note of that bud, better safe than sorry.
  9. Cheers Andy, see what you mean, defo not something i would attempt. Mario, the model number is zx5045EA, the Pavillion zx5000 series. s/n CND4032T5T p/n DY604E#ABU It originaly cost me £1200 and has never let me down, suppose its just wear and tear as it was being used a hell of a lot last 3-4 years.
  10. Anyone not too far from me that has the knowledge to repair the Power Pin on my HP Laptop, its finaly gone after playing up for a while, been quoted £120!,i will of course pay a fee if you can fix it. Tony :)

  16. Fit a new cap pronto,OEM or HKS/Greddy aftermarket preferably,if you take off the cap you will see that the rubber has got a circular dentation around it(centre of rubber)this happens after time and the pressure leaks past it. Tony

  20. If you still have probs with a new belt,or you wish to still use old one, this trick works a treat, from and old post of mine, for some reason there never seems enough adjustment on alternator(having said that the power steering pump is worse, virtualy none, and if that starts to slip its defo time for a new one. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=79757 Tony
