  1. Joel, I don't think the purolator comes out that well actually!
  2. I think the one the comes out top is the mobil1 filter but they are uber difficult to get hold of! An easier to get but not as good a quality one is the K&N oil filter made by the same people apparently!
  3. I am sorry to say fram come out really poor in all the tests :( Si there is no perfect world with filters as you improve filtration the flow decreases, what is best as probably with everything in life is a balance between the two :)
  4. Dunno, I always go with champion filters, they seem to come out well in all the tests and seem to have the correct balance between flow and filtration!
  5. A little write up http://www.stealth316.com/2-mtl-tech.htm
  6. mt90 is the same thickness as Nissan use when the box comes out of the factory.
  7. Happy birthday you old git :D
  8. I think I know what the problem is Jimmy! Your zed has Baron Munchausen syndrome :D
  9. I thought you said there was no output from the ecu on that O2 sensor, so you are now saying it's the wiring? But one O2 sensor not working will not cause your rough running problem! Did the pcv pipes come with the restrictors removed or did you remove them and where they put on in the correct location? It is all pretty academic as the pcv pipes having their restrictors removed will not make you engine overfuel and run rough! There is now way to test the pipework, you have to manually look to check their physical location!
  10. How did you test the fuel pressure?
  11. I think here speaks the man of z meet wisdom ;)
  12. Did he leave them on the sheep?
  13. The golden rule of mechanics is to always fix what you know is wrong and you know the ecu is wrong, even though you claim your socketing was good ;) Go from there, jfyi it wouldn't give blue smoke if you burnt a valve out and you would still have lo compression!
  14. You were saying it was the ecu, then that could have run an injector lean and burnt out a cylinder, it may not be scotts liability at all and by airing your tinkerings on a public forum you have admitted intefering with the workings of the engine, and its warranty:(
  15. The stupidity of these organisations amazes me, you have spent thousands with them and they should be falling over themselves to get you back or keep in good favour with you, now they have made an enemy for life!
  16. Was the engine warm and had you taken all of the plugs when you did the test?
  17. Change the injectors end of story!
  18. What brand of injectors are they?
  19. I was just going to suggest that, it is easy for a small piece of grit to stop the compression tester getting a proper seal, clean it grease and try again? Also what was the procedure you used to complete the compression test?
  20. I think a lot of truckers have them on inside the cab, I am not sure if this changes the legality of it
  21. Have you got written evidence of the notice given? If not pay the £50 and go onto every fitness orientated forum and slag them off, that will cost them more than any court case ever will?
  22. IMO the war in Afganyraq, and soon to follow Iran, is part of the new/old world order where the old soviet bloc/new capitalist bloc, is trying to carve up the world and America wants to get it's paws on the middle east before they have it! Lee a mate of mine has just shut his estate agents doors he said "it's not worth it"
  23. To be truthful I am fed up to the back teeth of HM government PLC, the country is in recession, people are struggling and road and fuel tax are going through the roof. Brown knows that he is on his way out and is screwing everyone before he leaves!
  24. I basically hate all things electric, but had a little idea with all the mini laptops coming out. I presume there is one that fits in the speedo cluster space, and you could have live conzult/blazt information on the fly as you role down the road! I believe it is a legal requirement to have an odometer, but you don't have to get rid of it, you could cover the speedo perspex with carbon fibre transfer and replace with a original clear item for the MOT. If you are worried about car thieves wither fold it up and have it painted black and or put a rag duster over it when parked. The only issue would be power cable/usb coming out of the sides, if there was a model that had these feeds coming out of the back off the unit this would be ideal?
