  1. Yes thanks Trev got your message and sent to the admin for them to consider!
  2. I am not sure if my memory serves me right here, but I thought dupont the manufacturer of PTFE tried to take slick50 to court, wanting to stop them from claiming beneifts from them using it as an engine lubricant!
  3. LOL, I will still have a beer with you mate, don't worry, or maybe we can form our own support group :duffer:
  4. Hi All, Just to announce that my position of club sec is coming up for a vote as I am leaving the role!! I have enjoyed helping the club progress and working as part of the team in admin! Thanks to everyone that has helped and contributed, and I hope my successor enjoys it as much as I have!
  5. Just do a search for slick 50 on the forum, I think it will show how pants it is! BTW you probably have no oil pressure on your zed, because the sender has packed up, a common fault on the zed, so your bearings aren't knacked! But they could well be if you carry on using slick 50, because all the crap they put in it blocks your oil filter!!
  6. Just talked to simon today, he is a top fella, put me straight on a few oil myths and so called big brand prices!! From now on I will be using sylkoline fully synthetic 10-50 !
  7. James what a total spanner, any time the ball goes near the goal he is a liabilty!
  8. there is a fair chance it will do!!!!
  9. I think there is a balance to be obtained where fuelling under cruising is optimal, I can't see how removing the cats would bump the MPG up that much!
  10. For some women Marraige is a career path, next year is leap year let her ask you!! Or do what my mate did register all his property as being owned by an offshore company, strange how they go off the idea divorce when they find out!!!!!! Do I sound bitter, maybe because I have seen too many men go under!!
  11. As it says on the tin?
  12. What am I meant to sign!
  13. I can't see removing the cats bumping up the mpg!!!

Lymon While you are here!!!! I had a go at putting the thermostatic sandwich plate on my car to feed the oil cooler, and with the two connections in it, it doesn't it, it would fit with one connection in it though! I was thinking the pressure feed could be taken out and used as an open feed to the cooler, with a thermostat in line, the return could be to the sandwich plate, with the feed hole in the sandwich plate blocked off!

Trust me you need a big cooler on your engine oil as well, if you don't believe me ask Lymon! Or work it out, 3 and a half litres of oil, for a 3litre engine also cooling two turbos developing 300+bhp, trust me it is gonna get HOT!!!

You can't remove the pressure valve so that it circulates freely! The oil cooler operates at about 3500ish rpm, depending on the strength of the spring! There is a difference between jap and Uk oil coolers about 10 rows, it is the nismo item on the UK cars, the cars were designed to take the high speeds of the autobahns! People with Jap oil coolers have very high oil temps, ask Lymon!

The engine and autbox oil cooler are equally important, without an adequate oil cooler the engine oil temp becomes excessive! 19 row is the size of the one you want for the engine!
  18. Would love to go, but No tickets and working
  19. I was thinking about getting TomTom3, but a mate told me there was a subsciption charge with it, anyone?
  20. No now shut up, put the D hat back on and sit in the corner :p Will make a annoucement in the next couple of days about things we have planned for Billing! :hyper:
  21. That is in the agenda for Billing already
  22. To be truthful all of my knowledge around turbos comes second hand and it would be nice for an "expert", to clarify all of these areas!! To me it all seems to be a black art!! Maybe we should get someone to write up a way to decipher these things, like a/r ratios, compressor and turbine wheel sizes, charts!
  23. Well I suppose it all depends what you mean by high! I think the guy was saying, your engine will start detting before you reach the limits of your turbos with BB!
  24. After talking the head honcho at Turbo developments, he said that 270 thrust bearing can run 15ish max,360 18ish max and BB can just run as high as you can. This is talking about the limits of the turbo for longevity, not the engine's limits or the amount of psi the turbo can develop! 555's fit straight in speedy
  25. I think he has got the BB T28's?
