In Safe mode whilst running on battery power the fault comes back :(

Computer stays in bios mode with Battery power for ages, not even a hint of it shutting down. So am I right in presuming my battery is ok? The computer runs fine and does not shut down when on Mains Power, so I presume this means there is not a fault with the fan, as it would overheat when on mains or battery? What is the ACPI ?

OK thanks for the help so far and for bearing with a puting noobie! Here is what I have done so far: Checked out charger that is fine! I got a message on start up about a charging circuit failure but have downloaded the latest Bios update to cure it, the error message does not appear but the problem still carrys on. The fan kicks in on start up but I cannot hear or feel it after that, should it be running continuely? The problem still happens when the computer is in safe mode. The problem GOES AWAY when I just start the computer and leave it in the BIOS! Does this mean the battery is ok? Your opinions please gents?

An engine swap is a conversion of the car from Na to TT, although the engine swap is the easy part, it is all the other ancillaries that are the major headache! We can add turbos to an NA engine if you want, although I wouldn't recommend that for long term use, I think Lymon was experimenting there and wanted to see the outcome. Or we can convert an NA engine to run Turbos with the correct internals changed over.

Hi, You can get an adaptor for the aerial from a ICE shop if you want to make your life easier!

To be truthful everyone likes a bargain and I don't blame them, but as many people know there is sometimes a risk with some of this Bargains and maybe that is the attraction. Some ebay scampsters, completely mislead the punters saying that many aftermarket items are a straight bolt on and low and behold they are not, not badmouthing this particular ebayer don't know him from Adam. I see there are quite a few ebayers that set up business and trade for 6 months and then vanish or set up in another name, no after service there! If anyone wants advice about what fits with the least hassle, what actually works the best and in what direction to tune their car then give me a ring, I don't mind if you don't bring you car to me, I would rather see people with a reliable zed than a big bill and another zed being broken for parts. Maybe the traders on here do charge slightly more than ebay, but they have been around for years and have helped in developing the UK zed scene. If something breaks they are there to help with the warranty and they have no interest in selling you a part that will blow your motor up because they will lose out as well as you!

I couldn't swear to it but I am sure I saw some sort of message when it was shutting down once saying something about the charging system not working properly! I think the charger may be the culprit!

Cheers mate, The only thing is, is that the battery meter says there is loads of power left in the battery and the battery has it's own indicator which says it has loads of power as well, is this an indicator of memory finction at all?

Have jacked up the rear like a 70's capri and I can hear the fan working, any more ideas ??

The injectors he has displayed are the later model of injector, not sutiable for the vast majority of 300zx's in the uk!

One thing I haven't told ya fellas is that it keeps on running fine if connected to the mains so does this eliminate the overheating theory?

I bought the laptop second hand and have never connected it to the net, but it came with norton and I presumed that the previous owner had used it so never bothered running it! How do you judge how hot your laptop is getting, by feel or that greddy temp on the A pillar mount :D

It used to shut itself down after about 15 mins now it is just 2-3 mins Bought a new battery for it, as at first I thought that was the culprit! Then I calibrated the battery, and it has gradually been getting worse and worse! Any pointers, btw have changed the alternator, AFM, PTU, ECU and Oil Pressure sender! :D

The turbos and cams on the auto are designed to give more torque but less bhp. The turbo and cams on the manual give slightly less torque but more bhp.

I have had BT Broadband for three years, they are little pricey though, after looking on adsl guide Pipex came up up pretty good and they have a special XMas offer on at the mo!
