As above, been offered a fully restored Triumph tr8 convertable 3.5, looked them up and they are dam ugly things, he says its worth £6000, would it be easyer to sell than the zed? Dont think I will sell my zed, just wondering.

Should I replace the regulator? How much are they?

Yes but made no difference, could it be regualator or pump, the pump aint making no weird noises.

Could this be the cause of the hesitating when cold and smell of petrol i get also when cold?

Im not sure what they done, do you think the pump is ok as i will be upping the boost soon will hoping it will be around 450 hp at wheels with the mods ive got.

Just had a fuel pressure test done and its reading 35psi on idle and 50psi when accelerated, I know it should be 43 psi on idle. Before it goes on the RR, would it be a good idea to upgrade the fuel pump? Would I need to upgrade the fuel regulator to an adjustable one?

I have noticed a slight smell of petrol beneath engine cover, I did have a seal go one one of my injectors but that is now sorted, could another one of gone? Could this also be the cause of the car hesitating when cold? Car is going in tomorrow for a fuel and oil pressure test, I dont think their is enough fuel getting through when its cold.

My first zed which was a 1992 uk manual tt cost me £2800 and the one i got now cost me 6k, a month down the road the turbo seals went, thats when I decided to start spending the cash on mods, it ows me about 15k.

Went to football a few days ago and ball went over the stand and bounced in the carpark and I heared a very familiar alarm, after the game i found that the ball had smashed my window screen, absolutely gutted, phoned my insurance and they put me through to my windscreen claim department, they said last time they did a 300zx it took 5 hours and they had to wait a few months for a windscreen to arrive from japan, luckily they found one straight away and they are repairing it wednesday weather permitting outside my house.

I agree, i own a zed and the missus owns a gtst 2.5 turbo skyline and you cant compare the zed and the skyline, the zed wips its butt every time she trys to race lol and not just by a little bit either.

Left my car parked upwards last night and car ran beautifully from cold without any hesitation at all, could this be just coincedence?

Im no mechanic but would like to know how to do this.

Ive cleaned throttle bodies Done boost/vac leak test with no leaks checked tps and cas changed the maf timing is ok new temp sensor and wiring loom. Could it be the ptu? When it is cold it holds back at 2500 revs and all of a sudden it will be ok and i will have a burst of speed, then i will go under 2500 revs and it will hold back again, the revs also drop when i go to pull away, after about 10 mins or so the car will run fine. What do you guys think?

Halti all the way mate worked on both my rotties and staffie, they dont need it now but if they see a cat and they pull they have a slight tap on the side of theyre rear leg and made to sit before proceeding to walk.

Cheers mate but I have had a new wiring loom and new temp sender, I did make a perspex cover to go over the filter but it caused my nose panel to sit higher than my headlights and looked daft + it still hesitated anyway, I think my MAF might be on its way out but it funs perfectly fine after 10 mins or so. Seems to only happen when cold.

It is impossible to but your foot down in the wet in a zed and im very carefull, the problem only occures for the first 10mins or so when pulling away, the revs will drop and nearly stall and when I do start driving the car holds back and after about 10 mins of driving it will be fine. I also have a splash guard underneath. Maybe its time for a new MAF.

If their are no differences between the Japs and the uk one then I will take it off your hands, how restrictive is the original air filters?

Lol, I dont think 30mph is too fast, I know they are getting more strict but my car dont agree.

Mine has been letting water in and I think its the cause of my hesitating when cold issues, as my car is modified and needs all the air it can get, would putting a standard nose panel on be ok and would it cure the problem? Ps. Sorry for all the posts in this section but all these niggles with the car are starting to do my head in.

I will change the battery and see if thats the cause.

Its just a quick blurt, doesnt sound like my alarm bleep, it sounds more like the bleep I get from my stereo when I turn the engine off if that makes sense. I have a clifford concept 650 alarm system.
