I no, i have told him to go japanese but he wont listen lol, anyway he was told that if the voltage of the battery goes below x amount it wont start, we got the voltage well above the required amount and it still wont start, he sent it in to bmw, left it all day and it started out of the blue, they told him that their was nothing wrong with the car but now its done it again, he turns the key and all the lights come up on the dash but nothing happens, he has not long had the alternater changed at bmw. Has anyone on here had any experiances with this sort of car?

I bought the missus a v6 vectra for her birthday, she always moaned at me when I talked about the z and how fast it is, telling me how bad it was on fuel and how unpractable it was, I told her that the vectra was going to be a bit juicier than her rover, she said bolluks to the petrol, I love the power, I said to her that now she knows how i feel lol. Driving down the road, she says, does this mean my cars faster than yours? I just smiled and said we would have to find out as I wasnt sure lol, aahhh bless her, I think shes a little speed freak at heart.

I will take it to a mechanic after xmas, on the 170 mile trip back the temp gauge went to the quater and it drove lovely, I do hope its something minor, the missus aint had much luck with cars, funny enough though every jap car shes had has been extremely reliable.

might just sell it on, bought it for the missus as her rover is playing up loosing water, the car drove 170 miles without a hitch

Just bought the missus 1997 v6 vectra cdx, drove it 180 miles with no probs, run like a dream, had a look over it today and found that their is an oily liquid in the water, are these prone to head gasket failure, could it be something else?

I have had a new wiring loom, will clean the temp sender and c if that cures it, why doent it hesitate every time I start it up?

When I start my car in the mornings, the idle bounces around for a bit and settles at 1100rpm and the car then runs fine, I leave the car till I finish work, start it up and it goes to die out when I press the accelerator a bit and I get a very delayed rev reaction, I then drive it for a mile or so and the car runs fine, why does this happen, could it be a boost leak? or part of another idling issue? The car will also pop whilst going down hill in gear when not pressing the gas, is this normal, I have a JWT eprom upgrade to handle single air intake, 555 injectors? Other than the issues above, when the car is at normal temp it runs like a dream and when I put my foot down it will hit 1 bar of boost fine with no hesitation. Any suggestions? Thanks

Id go twin turbo, but im being biust,but I suppose their will be some people that would disagree, if you go NA then get a manual, I dont think their is much differance in fuel consumpsion either, spend a bit of money on a tt then you are talking a lot lot more power and acceleration, I think theres quite a margin between a NA and a tt stock anyway, if you get a NA, you will always be saying to yourself, I wonder what a tt goes like, Id test drive both before making a decision.
