Sorry to add my two pence worth, but how the hell can anyone diagnose a noise over a forum. I know I have asked these type of questions before but only to point me in the direction of a maybe. If you have noise, take it to an expert, meaning talk to the man that knows and not the man that thinks he knows.

When I get into the boost range I get a noise that sounds like air escaping or something loose in my exhaust near the engine. I guess you would have to hear it to diagnose but I thought maybe the waste gate spring would make like a rattle kind of sound.

What does dett sound like and when would you get it, I have a noise that sounds like tappets at around 2k when the engine is warm and was wondering if thats what it was.

I have two vacuum hoses going through my inner wing on the N/S. Where do they go and can I blank them off? Cheers, Scrawni.
