  1. I didnt say I hadn't addressed the tyres already... ;) But cheers for the suggestions. I have to admit, from your list I havent checked for a twisted monocoque! Hopefully we have all created a nice list of things for insanezed to check. :)
  2. 145/olliezx------------------300zx Z32 TT SWB
  3. There's a bumpy bit on the M42 that sends the back end of my zed crazy, having done everything but the hicas ball joints and rods, it must be them.
  4. my old ones and the new OEM ones:
  5. I'm in Gloucester/Cheltenham if that helps, maybe a bit of a drive!
  6. search for "Ground Control". They come with Eibach springs, but have the ability to adjust them like coilovers.
  7. Ah I forgot Oz, its not got the right lights to be jap.
  8. Im changing my exhaust from single to twin!
  9. Do it, and on a standard car, it doesnt detract from anything, as the car still looks the same. If it doesnt take too much cutting on the inner wings to fit the hinges...i'm not a big fan of cutting away at our precious cars... I'd do it, if there wasnt a mountain of things I have yet to fit already! Suits the zed down to the ground, even standard ones. If the zed had scissor doors as standard, our cars would probably still be worth 10 grand...
  10. Thats a UK zed...... who's!?
  11. Could I ask where you got yours from? is it stainless, X, with resonators, and how much you paid? Thanks. :) My current centre section is a 2->1 so I cant keep it.
  12. I have the perfect solution for you sitting right in front of me! IMO dont get a convertor, as some will mess up the power steering and HICAS. Anyway, £10: straight fit, keep your UK clocks.
  13. Personally I wouldnt trust their suspension arms or crank pulley or FMIC, but thats just me. Everything else they sell are non-safety-critical components and have good reviews.
  14. Ok so im happy with 2.5" all the way through. X-Pipe with resonators. Thanks guys :) Am I right in believing the centre section is the same LWB/SWB? I know the tail section is definitely different, and the cats are definitely the same...
  15. The decats I am looking at are the 2 3/8" diameter. From another thread you reckon 2.5" is sufficient, 3" is only beneficial for high power applications. How come you mention 3" here? What are the effects of 3" on an engine with stock internals, fuelling and turbos, what is the optimum diameter for this setup? I dont want to go from 2.5" de-cats -> 3" exhaust as this slows gasses down.
  16. nobody knows if resonators reduce the power? I think it might be too noisy without them, any ideas?
  17. make it quieter! but are they advisabe? i.e. do they sap power?
  18. P.S. I have just graduated from university with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. So, in the end, I went the whole way!
  19. I would really advise doing your A-Levels with RAF sponsorship. I was in a similar position to you a few years ago. You are only young once, dont jump right into it. Plus, with the sponsorship you will be minted in Sixth Form :). Plus this could always lead to university (with sponsorship!) or even going to Cranfield to study. You can then enter as a Comissioned Officer, with pay and priveleges to match. IMO go as far as you can with your education, the job you do then will be so much better. And they will give you lots of money while you are doing it, train you in the holidays, with a secure job at the end!
  20. Ok I am slowly deciding on my exhaust. I am having decats and a double twin tips. The last piece I need to decide on is the centre section. What are the advantages of X or H, resonators or not. I dont want it too noisy, i realise it will be a bit noisier with the de-cats. I currently have a single-exit with cats.
  21. does it do it if you rotate the throttle linkage in the engine bay?
  22. dont think i'll be trying that on the zed, somehow...
  23. nutters! love it though.
