To Mod or Not to Mod...is that the Q. ?

Am I right in thinking that there are basically 2 camps here - those that want to mod the car as much as they can afford to get the most out of it, and those that think the car as stock is hardly worth tinkering with because it took so much development that any 'tinkering/modding' will probably lead to problems/changes which you wouldn't suspect/envisage/want ?

MY standpoint is probably somewhere in the middle of these exteme views.

Be interested to hear people's thoughts...

Straight six IS the same as inline six !

I seem to be getting lost as to what you're arguing.

But who cares, don't recall a thread this long before.

Hey Craig - switch of the multi paging so we can make this into a 'broadband only' discussion !

Just since nobody else has mentioned it - that small new saloon for rallying was the Pulsar (Sunny GTI-R).

If I had the money I'd have a 300zx, R34 and a GTI-R.. And a 350Z so I had one that wasn't always breaking down..

In my dreams.. (Where I'm also married to Cameron Diaz)

KEEP IT SIDEWAYS!

I'll wait until something major needs doing, then consider engine mods. Might just do the air filter for now.

Am thinking of modding the 200SX though, as that's more of a surprie to people when it's fast; also it will cost less and the car weighs less. A 200SX is also more of a boy racer's car than a 300ZX, which gives out more class.

talking of modding i read in a magazine a while ago that nissan were meant to do a special edition of the 300zx which was meant to look like the strosek design!!

nissan didnt go ahead with the project and strosek were allowed to copy their design!

what the hell am i going on about?? modding a yes doesent the strosek snap knicker elastic?? its a matter of personal taste is modding some leave it stock as others create works of art, well most of the time LOL!

modding makes u stand out in the crowd just depends on how far u go

im waiting to fit the strosek front and rear bumper and small side skirts no big spoiler for me just the clean look!!

at the end of the day the car u drive says a lot bout yourself

what it says im not quite sure LOL!!

Yes I would modify it mate hehe wink.gif

Make it look like this, much more stylish than some cr*ppy Skyline :
