Started a project thread on the 'other' board, don't really have an equivalent section over here.

For anyone interested:

links not allowed

Hey John, just start a new thread in here - or copy the info and paste in here

I'd love to see this, unfortunately I don't know what the 'other forum' is. What pathetic reason is there for not allowing links?

Oh it's duff and saz's 300zx club site.

Won't post a link for obvious reasons!!

May cut and paste it at some point but it's about 20 posts and dozens of pics so I can't really be bothered today!

I think it's only links to the other forum, I've posted links up before to the US club and the Twin turbo.net and plus people post links all the time o other sites on how to's etc. So my guess is that it's only links to Saz & Andy's site that are not allowed.

Can someone clarify so we know what we can and can't post up ?

Back on track....

It's an amazing read up and plenty of pics, you're done really well mate. I have to say though, when you started talking about angle and degrees etc, you lost me :D

Since when have links to peoples projects on other forums been prohibited?

Why should john have to rewrite a whole thread when he's already written it once when a simple link would do????

Since the forum in question was set up by banned members to compete with this forum Nick. its no hardship, all john has to do is copy and paste onto a thread on here. a 2 minute job.

i dont wanna stir anything up... but i think the topic should be looked into? something i dont believe was addressed @ the agm? i will be the first to admit that i do not know what is written in the rule book regards links, but as said, i have seen countless links to many different places on a daily basis.

i look forward to the day when the 'other' club is associated like i try to, as a 'sister club'... much like the zclub, in my eyes, very much is? lol that almost sounded like a martin luther king speech

all imo

Kim, no disrespect but you have been on that forum and many times both Saz and Andy have said that was not the intention. I think it's a little unfair that you see it this way.

If andy and saz weren't banned from this forum, then I doubt they would have set up the other one, they both have a very high interest in the cars that we own, what els were they to do if they wanted to keep in touch with the people that they have ade friends with over here ?.

but at the end of the day, it wasn't set up to compete, more so just to stay in touch with their friends and other people who share common interests.

They set that forum up before either of them were permanently banned from here.

Ok I'm staying out of it, it's not my busines. It just winds me up how you can say you are not allowed links to a forum that competes with this one. But at the same time it's a forum that you as head Mod are not only registered on but have made 62 posts on it in under a month.

That's just a little hypocritical.

Yes I suppose that is true, but I was trying to show that I can be unbiased, and not let my personal feelings rule my head. I shall no longer be frequenting the said forum. I am members of quite a few car forums. and they keep me busy enough.
I shall no longer be frequenting the said forum.

But why not?

It should be all for one and one for all

it is another Z Community and as far as i am concerned I visit

The Z Club

the classic Z register

both 350 sites

and not least both 300 sites

My own personal opinion and I think every body knows what that is

Is that there should be one club for all models and within that over all club there should be different separate registers/sub clubs under the one roof

but unlike Martin Luther Kings dream mine never happened

That way you would have the pick of all the various committees and Christ wouldn't it be a power place

but gave up on that about 4 years ago and now just like the way it has moved to a more shared event thing were it doesn't matter what club you belong to as long as you all have a great time is all that matters

Just all get your butts down to Zed Fest and enjoy and make an old man happy

The Z Scene is a dying one, and cars and members are getting fewer by the year, so to create another Forum. will divide the Numbers even more IMHO.

sad but true... :(

Disagree totally that the Z scene is dying

What is declining is the 300 club and the Z club what is growing is the 350 clubs numbers

and this was bound to happen as the older cars get less and the newer ones take their place

but hey ho said this 20 odd years ago when the Z register was formed as a separate club
