hey people

i have purchased from "flea-bay" a sandwich plate for my oil temp gauge, and been advised that this is NO GOOD (dumps oil because the seals are s**t).

anyway, i have been told that you can get a sump plug with an attachment for a sender unit/switch for an oil temp gauge, which is a much safer approach.

problem starts here!!!

i have search the net, to no avail!

where can i get one of these sump plugs with the connection for an oil temp sender connector???

any help guys?

cheers,

alan.

take a sump plug with the sender down to your local enginering company and tell them to centre drill and tap the plug to suit the sender which i believe could be your best option..or do what i done a buy a "genuine" greddy plate and just know its not going to leak;)

alanz - the plate you show in the pic is the same one i have, but the o-ring seals are not in the right place to make a tight seal, hence why the oil leaks out.

hopefully the greddy plate will fit better

grrr i just bought one of the shitty ebay ones... paid last night, read through the feeb back and no one said about the leaking... will just send it back i think. just bought a greddy one from the link abouve via paypal. comes out at £45.20 including shipping and paypal fees. shipped out 19 days after payment!! d'oh

you can get a metal T piece, that goes into the standard oil pressure sensor,

then just connect you aftermarket one into that.

bout a tenner :)

Sorry for the old thread revival but can anybody point me in the direction of this t-piece?
