At 6.25pm this evening my wife gave birth to our first child - a boy. Water birth, gas and air, fairly short labour. Both are very well.

 

It's caused a bit of a kerfuffle but hopefully things will be back to normal by the weekend.

Having my son actually brought me to tears.

 

Not because I was happy or sad, well happy

 

But more because I'm generally a bit selfish and I relised that there was something in this world 100% more important than me. Someone that I would do anything for, die for no questions asked.
