So, i'm off to buy a 300zx on friday+ wondered, do they fit in a standard 17 foot council type garage?, as i can't find cars dimensions anywhere.

Cheers.simon.

You may not be able to get out of it though as they seem fairly wide and the garages, certainly in my area are very narrow.

I haven't tried to get mine in to the garage but I did struggle to get it on the drive.

I'm quite lucky with my place. Relatively new build and most modern garages are built for something not much bigger than an Astra. But luckily, mine is more than adequate. I have in mine, my Z, my mate's motorbike and a couple of pushbikes and it's not even a double garage and I can still walk down the side of it.

LOL. It's not that tidy! Too much clutter. I need to paint the floor with warehouse floor paint at some point.

but that would mean leaving the car outside a whole night or two :wack:

they do fit in length wise but its the width. ive put carpet underlay all around my garage so the doors open onto nice soft walls but i have to take the t top off to get out as the door wont open enough to get my love handles out.

pah need a bigger one than that LOL

My garage has the floor painted with grey waterproof paint, the walls are all painted white, i have a nice pink carpet laid over the floor paint and a rubber mat for each of the wheels to sit on, overhead there are 2 double flouresent tube lights, and theres even an old dust sheet layed across the doorway to stop the dust and dirt blowing under the door.Theres also a little fan heater to keep the zed warm on winter nights.

I cant understand why the neighbours give me funny looks when im outside vacuming the garage carpet!!!

Just need a bigger kitchen now so i can kick the tumbe dryer out of the garage.

Built my garage, or bungalow as the neighbours call it 2 years ago now. Takes 6 large cars and can open the doors on them too. Looks good with the Zed, Skyline, Gto and some others in it.

Would post some pics but don't know how.

At least I've got somewhere warm and dry to go when the misses is cleaning the house!!

Don't do it!! Only joking, but it does take a toll on your private life!

If you need any help or advice with your application, or how the job is from a "real" point of view, then let me know. ;)

If we ever get in the house we are buying, there is enough room to one side of the property to park at least 4 or 5 cars side by side, so first project is going to be a nice new garage/workshop, well a man has to have his own domaine and i've never had the luxery of a workshop at home before so am well excited, but frustrated as its taking so long to move in, would be nice to get it built before winter so i can put the car away.
