top blokes just the answers i was looking for...lol hey ho if we win the lottery who know's until then i'll just take mine out on wet weekends to have some fun! you know!!!

I earn bugger all(decided less money was worth the gains in other areas of my life) so now i do as much work on the car myself as i can

things have took a downward spiral for me since they stopped the busking at my local high street  might have to get myself a gasmans uniform and start hitting the local pensioners to check the meter cuboards :D

I work for ASDA but the Z has been a five year project since buying it :x:

keep going it will get there, a bit every payday

im a lathe turner/miller/maintance engineer. earn shite money but have an NA its my only car (for now) so is my daily drive. cost a bit to run but i cannot get a mortgage so a nice sports car was the next best option. plus the z stole my heart. love it to bits but can be a bitch at times when something goes wrong and you can't find the problem.

i wish not 1 bloody offer yet :p

I dont see what the problem is. Its a car, you maintain it. Mine never goes wrong

Until a couple of years ago I used mine as a daily driver and when I changed jobs, I was driving it over 50 miles each day for some time. The only big cost was petrol........but it was worth it ;)

However having that rare car (a UK-spec low mileage) I decided to keep it that way. I bought a daily driver and moved house so I was closer to work!

I don't find the ZX costs that much to run really....... :nelson: Servicing and repair-wise it costs less than my other 2 cars (Merc SLK and Rav-4); in fact when I go on hols I trust the ZX more than the others :D

If you buy wisely and look after it, it will look after you too. So I don't really think your job and salary matter that much unless you are unlucky (IE if you buy a dodgy ebay £2k ZX then make sure you have some cash in reserve!).

I'm a (supposedly sensible) accountant BTW :slap:

Richard :smw:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Depends what you want to do with the car if you keep it stock engine wise it will proberbly be more reliable its when you start mucking about with them which most of us do and cant help ourselves that it upsets the delicate balance of the cars, then problems arise, but then a stock car will be shite if its not regularly maintained and serviced. Im a Train driver by the way, i'm also an ex mechanic so do most of the work on the car myself

S.A.P. Technical Consultant (posh for Information Technology Nerd :-) with expensive mortgage, expensive wife, expensive child....

lol your SAP program is costing my company 250,000quid a week!

they have just started using it and no-one has a clue how to use it properly, please come in and train people! the above figure is no exageration either... my company is called sr technics and we run aircraft hangar, line and component support/maintenance for just about every airline and cargo operator you can think of.

i myself am an aircraft engineer, i have just finished work  and i have more time off then i know what to do with  patiently waiting to get my new toy!

Joel

one word ( credit card ) :)

Thats not the way for me, I don't own a credit card and never will.....if I can't afford to pay for it, I don't have it, simple. As for running and modding a Zed yes it's fooking expensive but until I can afford that F355 it's staying.
