This was due to my comment about Warren's hamster having two ball sacks wasn't it? I now withdraw any allegations made against Warren's hamster. I recognise that it has only one ball sack with two balls in it and not, as I suggested, two ball sacks with a total of four balls.

This is actually in response to my being contacted about the thread and advised that legal action may ensue.

 

I have taken legal advice and the information that i am asking of you all is standard practice if i were to contest the case, should it be taken that far.

 

If you could please just make sure you have any evidence to support your claims readily to hand, in case I cannot resolve the matter peacefully first.

If someone has a problem with a post, why don't they come here and give their side of the story? Legal action seems to be becoming the first option unfortunately.

defamation of character on the internet is still a very much hit and miss affair in the courts but seeing as somebody has spat their dummy out with you over it you've done the best thing i bet this years billings meet should be a funny one though

I've got no problem posting FACTS on this board about past events...nothing like the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help me God in my opinion!

 

He(my Brother) bought a Honda Prelude off them a few years ago and it was a good car so he went back on that basis.

 

We test drove an Audi 2.6 M or N reg I think which was a dog! Banging coming from the front left and the gearlever was vibrating like you wouldn't believe it. ABS light kept coming on at 130 on the motorway.

 

Test drove a Calibra Turbo which was making a right noise when the sales guy started it up but was told "they all sound like that, it's a Vauxhall"

 

Car was nippy to 60 but ran out of puff at a ton which isn't right for a car that claims to hit nearly 150 top speed.

 

Upshot was that Aidan gave me and the boy wonder a load of bullshit about how he valued customers and wanted them to keep coming back. Told me Bro that if he wasn't happy with a car he could bring it back even if Aidan had to take a loss to keep him happy and get him into another car. I was witness!

 

So sells me Bro a Renault Alpine GTA-V6 going on about it being an every day useable sports car as it used the same engine as the Renault 25 or whatever.

 

Cutting a rather longish story short the car was not right so me Bro took the car back straight away. Throttle was jamming so their so called GTA expert who had apparently worked for some bigshot main dealer in Manc Land as an Alpine specialist fixed the throttle and sent my Bro and his pregnant wife on their way.

 

On the A55 me Bro boots the car and the throttle jams at about 110 nearly killing the pair of them. Mechanic from AP comes out to the car and discovers that they've fitted a part round the wrong way!!!

 

If that had been me I would have taken them to the cleaners for negligence straight away!

 

Anyway car goes to Renault in Chester who say engine is Phuket, car eventually goes to an engine specialist in Stockport who dismantles the lump to find long term corrosion damage due to lack of proper coolant etc. etc.

 

All the time Aidan Piers are disputing this...muppets!

 

So two years and alot of financial stress and strain later the court date looms. All this time they haven't even bothered to get a lawyer and have been contesting everything themselves. But when they finally realise that my Bro is serious they get a brief. Who then proceeds to advise them that they are fucked basically! So they try to settle out of court with a pathetic amount which gets rejected by my Bro.

 

Next we find out from their brief via my Bros solicitor that if he doesn't settle out of court there is a distinct chance that if my Bro wins in court he could put them out of business!!!

 

Nice as it would have been to see those sharks go under but me Bro needed the cash so he settled and won!

 

Best thing was my Bro warned that little shit salesman who will remain nameless, not to fuck with him!

 

So Aidan Piers promote themselves on reputation and customer service but at the end of the day they are no different than all the rest in the Motor Trade...rip off wankers!

Too right! Can I back up what Dave said aswell(again) we all have something to say good and bad about most companies on here!

 

When SE were getting a right slating Pete R had the balls to come on here and defend him and his companies reputation.

 

I suggest that other companies do the same instead of crying like a baby and threatening legal proceedings!

 

IMO what goes around comes around and if you as a company rip-off and fuck enough people off then eventually you're gonna have to reap what you sow and face the music!

 

Some frieds of mine recently had a double glazing company out for a QUOTE! Were duped with the same old sales tactic of "if you don't sign tonight we can't get you this price again!" just to get the guy out the house! They're now receiving threatening phone calls with this guy F'ing and blinding down the phone and throwing personal insults at them aswell about their nationallity being Welsh!

 

If that happened to me I'd find out where that fucker works and break his legs then burn his fucking car! They are shit scared in their own home that this nutter is gonna come round and threaten them on their door step!

Well This whole Hitman thing (hitman being someone from the said company i would assume) and then them reacting that quickly is rather funny, Backfired in there face as fast as they could type it lol.

TDI have threatened to put things in the hands of their lawyers with me a couple of times now and to say they have a dislike for me would be something of an understatement, so I would love to know what was said...

 

Suffice to say I wont be using or recommending them to anybody.

Agreed. But a company taking an individual to court for slander and winning

can and has happened. All I'm saying is that people need to be a little more

careful now than say, a couple of years ago. Also, I know of more than a

couple of companies who have actually lost money on pursuing a claim against

a private individual, just out of spite and to f**k up their lives. Seems

silly I know, but I wouldn't take that risk and end up possibly losing my

house, car and bank account just because I thought I was an untouchable

'individual' and the company would lose money on me.

 

It doesn't always need to make financial sense to a company, especially if

the one in question is very profitable anyway...........

I have spoken to a few people on this topic and I know a lot of you know whats going on but there are still a lot of people who dont.

 

Of course I must state that these are my personal opinions and I have never had dealings with TDI.

 

1. TDI do monitor all of the forums and have been for some time

 

2. TDI want to try and stop the good deals and group buy's we get from other places

 

3. TDI are paranoid as they cannot compete with better companies.

 

4. TDI are always threatening legal action when they cant get there own way

 

5. I think all of us (300, supra,evo,scooby 200, etc etc)should be aware of this via our forums or word of mouth and then people can decide if they wish to use this company.

 

Some people would like to give you more details about this but cant as TDI will CERTAINLY be reading this (Kiss my ass punk)

 

Hope this makes things a little clearer for those who have been asking whats going on.

 

 

am i right in thinking that this is a private members board and our opinions are just that......is there any way we can make it so you have to fill in a membership form and disclaimer before getting onto the boards that way said companies can no longer come on here looking to generate money......one thing of note here although they shout defamation they forget about a little used phrase in the uk that is slowly catching on.......entrapment.........

Can I just point something out here? Under the Data Protection Act I would find it very, very hard to believe that Craig or Nico would be allowed by LAW to divulge the true identities, addresses or any other personal information to said companies of any description!!!

 

I couldn't care less what the Terms & Conditions of this site are to be perfectly honest. Craig and Nick as far as I am aware probably don't even know the real names and id's of most of the people on this forum nevermind their home addresses.

 

Trust me when I say that if I said something on here about any company and they then threatened the owners/admin of the site I would then hold the administrators responsible for passing my personal and protected by law information to the company involved!

 

So I would then file my own legal proceedings against both parties.

 

So whoever is causing all this trouble whether it be TDi or whoever you can fucking blow me!!!

 

What are you gonna do? Take an entity called Timmy fucking Turbo to court? I don't think so do you?

IMHO! I say that if there is a company that rips you off or their work is inadequate,over charge you like £700 to fit a clutch Eh Warren and you have proof of this then lets be having it on here so we know who to stay well away from.
