Coming off the motorway today, roundabout, nothing on it other than a woman sat waiting to pull out. Nothing within a few hundred metres of her. She edges out, I see nothing there too, so go to pull away and BANG! She'd hesitated and thought not to go. :headvswal

Straight up her arse. Stoved the front end of the car in quite a bit, bonnet's fooked and so is the bumper. May have damaged the slam panel too.

Hers? Just a scratch and a broken number plate.

Sucks. But she was really cool about it.

Just gotta ring head office and get the claim form sent off. Thank God it wasn't the zed!!!

Grrrrrrr, not had a bump in years. Hence the full no claims etc...not that this will affect it as the company claim, not me.

Thanks for your messages of support there guys..........................

;)

No, I tend to drive the zed like a pensioner. But not quite so in the Astra. Still look after it, but today's incident was a little unfortunate. Still can't work out why she hesitated. Totally my fault, but there were outside factors that led to it. She even told me 'I was going to pull out, but thought the van was going a bit quick'. Which it wasn't. Anyway, she was pretty cool about it.

Sounded there for a minute (until last line) like you would need a repair job like mine, :headvswal Thank fook you dont.

Are you going down to Torquay on Sunday?

Keep on Zedin... :D

Bloody woman drivers - insurance companies may have done research to prove women have less accidents than men but they surely must cause more accidents with their indecisiveness and dithering about :nelson:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

AwWwWww!!! FLASHBACK!! Exatcly the same thing that happened to me!! (in my golf)

and then I did something stupid, but I wont go into that now.... :nelson:

Bl*ody hell Si, my heart raced for you a sec there, thought you meant the Zed too. Glad you're ok though and that the company is footing the claim. I made the mistake of parking the Zed on some double yellows on the run up to some traffic lights the other day (not in the way, but illegal so my fault). A transit van driver drove by and scrapped an inch square of paint off my mirror. He wasn't even going to stop, I actually pulled him out of his van as he was stopped at the traffic lights and I had seen him do it from the shop. I asked him what he was going to do about it and he said I'd have to claim from his company. I said I realised I shouldn't of been parked there and the insurance company wouldn't pay up, but thought he was obliged to do something as I wasn't in the way and it was his fault otherwise. He gave me a measly fiver and complained he didn't have enough money for his lunch now! Thanks a million mate. Dave

Harsh mate...feel for you there. would have been worth going for a claim though... they propably wouldn't have looket into it as it wouldn't be a big sum of money.

I actually pulled him out of his van as he was stopped at the traffic lights
