Good day folks,

I am pleased to announce that The Club has once again been accepted to exhibit at the NEC Classic Motor Show this November.

It runs from Friday 10th November to Sunday 12th November..... Our stand in in hall 4 this year - number 4-595; it's 6m x 10.5m, so we can accommodate 3 cars comfortably or 4 at a squeeze; the exact plans to be determined nearer the time.

But for now, I am looking for volunteers to exhibit. It's always a great show and you'll get to have your car on display to thousands of visitors - but it's a full-on weekend. You have to deliver your car there at a fixed time on the Thursday morning, the day before, and you won't get to leave until late Sunday evening after all the visitors have departed. Ideally, we'd like you to remain there and help man the stand for the duration - but shifts can be organised, just like we did last year.....

I appreciate it is a big commitment - but you will have the privilege of exhibiting your Zed on the world stage, in one of the very best classic car shows of the year - and everyone who has exhibited, has thoroughly enjoyed the experience!

We are still debating on whether the club will fully fund accommodation costs this year, but for now, we need volunteers..... If you are interested in exhibiting your car, please register your interest in this thread. We need 3 cars, plus one in reserve. Once we have enough interest, we'll put it to the vote in order to select the top 4 and go from there - BTW, this will be a key topic at the AGM in a couple of weeks.... 😉 

Ideally, we'd like to represent each style on the stand - LWB, SWB, convertible or modified.... But ultimately it's the members' choice - providing we get the volunteers!

Should be dropping my engine in within the next few weeks so i'm fairly confident to get mine running soon,

All i'm waiting for is the plenum and water pipes to be polished again.

Plenty of time to know for sure so i'd like to put mine forward to be on the stand.

The stands you build and awesome, the issue is the costs for power the NEC charges us.

I did say last year, we could do it on less power , or much less power. If someone sends me the link I can price it up for you

I am more than happy to show my car and man the stand all weekend.
