So who has garaged their Z's for Winter and who is still driving ? Starting to miss driving mine already ?

 

 

Mine is in my garage - but as soon as all the salt has been washed away, I will take it out again......!

.......My MOT ran out on Sunday and I need to take it out for the test ?

I shall leave it until after Christmas though, there's no immediate hurry to get it done!

The first thing to remember is: always treat your zed like you treat your woman!

I do not mean take her home at weekends to meet your mother, I mean get inside her five times a day and take her to heaven and back.

 

Whilst I never laid mine up for the entire winter, I definitely did not use it when it was wet or salty. Part of the enjoyment of ownership of one of these cars is the care and preservation. ?

 

Who wants rust and stonechips all over their car? I certainly don't/didn't but I did use it and drove it all over Europe. 

 

 

The Aston gets the same treatment. I had the garage in my new house all lined, painted, decent flooring and also heated. Having a radiator in the garage is not really for the car's benefit, but for mine. It's lovely to have a tinker in the garage in warmth and comfort.

Forgot how painful this forum is to use when editing posts and trying to add a photo to an edited post....ie, hopeless. ?

I did find the old system easier to use..

Significantly. Search functions and edit functions on this current system just have a massive lack of functionality.

When shit like this breaks - no-one seems to report it.

When the site software updates the search defaults back to 4 character searches.

 

I've now put it back to 3 but it will take an hour to rebuild the index.
