In preparation for a potential purchase of a Zed, I need some wheel inspiration!

I humbly request photos of your cars so I can see what wheels look like what when fitted and, if possible, please post size and offsets etc too!

Its a chance to show off ? and thanks for the help!

Ultralite wheels TE37 knock off.

18s, 8.5 front and 9 rear. Can't remember the offset as previous owner fitted them and tbh the offset isn't great and I've spacers fitted.

That's freaky, I was literally looking on Google images at wheels on a 300zx. Mine came with some questionable ultralite wheels so looking to change them with something else. Imo you need a but of dish and some fat spokes. Here is some inspiration for you. Not mine, downloaded from the Internet lol!

Oh and dark car bright wheels and light car dark wheels for maximum impact. Although i think gun metal wheels and bronze work on most coloured cars.1b2ba03c34439482df39158de58f21cb.jpgeb29e576c613bb2a96b0c83a1b2d84c2.jpg

Mine are 18 inch Work Emotion CR2P, all are concave A fitment.

Gloss Gunmetal with Polished Lip.

Rears are +32 and 9.5J with 275/35 wide tyre.

Fronts are also +32 and 8.5J with 245/35 tyre.

Rears have no spacers, fronts have a 15mm spacer and I have Akebonos fitted.

When I ordered I tried to be brave but I could have gone with +27 for the fronts but I had to play it safe being mindful of brake clearance and knew I had spacers to play with to obtain the final look.

Even with +27 up front you’d still need a 10mm spacer to be where you are now. Fitment looks great on that Andy. My fronts are 8.5 et22 and I’ve always thought they could do with a 5mm spacer; having seen the effective +17 on yours, I think I should slap some on! ?

I would joel yes you’re spot on, a 10mm spacer would be required giving me a mm of clearance if I would have bought at +27, they are in effect mine a +17 yes, whichever way you get there.

The less I went with the offset the more attractive the wheel become, ie more dish, to match the rear dish with that being wider, I had to find the happy medium.

I bought longer studs, you won’t have to but get them out another 5mm like I did, it was bothering me ?.

I have Akebono brakes, a long way from standard and I have HSD coilovers.

For more pics of the wheels, etc, you’ll be best served going here ??.

When I first saw the wheels on the car which Jim fit, I liked but now it’s love ❤️.

Project 1547 - Out of the Blue

She's so fine, there's no tellin' where the money went - Simply irresistible.

Mine has Advan Siena II wheels, 18x8.5 with 20mm spacers on the front and 18x9.5 at the rear (desperate for a refurb!!!)

Tyres are 245/40 at the front and 275/35 at the rear.

I think it's lowered about 20mm or so, on the standard old KYB AGX shock & Eibach spring combo which I'll be swapping when I finally get the Meister R's on!

Stunning wheels, all of them, this is the dilemma I face, do I refurb my 18" Nismo Rays (Cost will be about £1000) or buy a new set, I love the 19" on Funkysi's white Z.

Thoughts please.

Have you checked that they are genuine LMGT2s?

Such a nice Japanese design. I remember when the Sport Compact Car Project 300ZX used them. I got down to 2 designs - Equips or Blitz

and went with the later, but it was a very close choice!

I agree Andrew - these are a great wheel choice for a 300zx....!!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I’m looking at some Works wheels but not sure if they’d fit. They are an 18x9.5 with an offset of ET20

if got some bog Evo 8 callipers on the front which would need some clearance.

can anyone advise? I’m not brilliant with wheel setups

I've a bit more time to answer now, the driftworks link provides full sets which I believe are in stock, I had to wait 9 months for mine but it was Covid time, I bought all my four individually and specs are above.

Full sets do tend to be staggered, so that's usually a 8.5J and a 9.5J rear.

The fronts are likely to have a straighter face, 'R' fitment iirc, so they may not be just as pretty as a concave rear wheel, 'A' fitment again, if I remember correctly.

You'd be better following one of us with similar spec wheels, at least then you'll know they'll fit.

A 9.5J ET20 will not fit on the front, too much poke, it will fit better on the rear, just, on a standard arch, you may have to stretch a tyre a little, so instead of a 275 width, go a little less but why ? Get the correct offset straight out of the box and more rubber down is my opinion.

8.5J ET20 is more like it for a front wheel but you've got brake clearance to consider, so that leads back to the 'A' and 'R' fitments I have mentioned, lots to consider.

I'm on e20 9.5x18 front and 9.5 e30 rear. The plan was to put e30 on the front and e20 on the rear, but because of the concave spokes the e30 wouldn't clear the stock caliper. I am hoping when I put my ksport brakes on I can swap them round as they will sit further out (if thay makes sense?)

Car is currently sitting on 245 40 18 tyres all round and I have experienced no scrapage.

Pics were on stock suspension. I have recently fitted BC Coilovers. Will get some more shots when the weather improves 3ee139b1d9a15a9f4508cc21c93e8d0a.jpg
