This afternoon on my way to south London I spun the car, don’t know how maybe oil on road, crushed a speed sign post, bounced off a van on the other side of the road. There goes my driving record.

That's terrible Glad you walked out alive. Sadly, it's Z-death season. Used to get 1 or 2 a year written off each winter without fail. Hopefully you can pick up the pieces and get yourself another one.

I agree not winter cars they take no prisoners slippery road ,hence mine rapped up for winter

Flipping hell mate - you have only had that fine Zed for five minutes...….

…...However metal is replaceable, flesh and blood is not, necessarily, so. It could have been much worse, so I echo everyone else's thoughts - it's always best to walk away with just a wee dent in your car and your pride, than not to walk away at all.

Onwards and upwards mate - get yourself another and move on. You lived to fight another day...:clover:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Gutted for you fella.

Glad to hear you’re ok.... yet another stark reminder to people that Z’s are old cars now, and perform like old cars when it comes to collisions.

Again, glad you’re ok

Holy crapola !!! sorry to see your ride looking sorry for itself, echo the words above about no injuries etc.

That said, do not under estimate how this makes you feel inside , bet you have already replayed the incident in your head a few hundred times and done the "only if " scenario, just do not let it eat you up, accidents happen, that is why they are called accidents, had a very similar thing happen to me in my zed on duel carriage way and lucky the spin was just that, hit nothing and just a bruised ego about my dodgy driving prowess, zeds will bite in slippy conditions its in their nature !!

Jeff

You walked away mate that's the main thing. Glad you are ok, gutted for you given the short time you have had your car and hope the insurance helps you replace her.

Have you got agreed valuation ?

No agreed valuation was on normal insurance.

Oh no ..... Thatnk God you are ok and no one was hurt, but I know how you feel and I sympathise

Like it’s been said hold out with insurance they’ll want to give you bottom book specially as there was no one else was involved and it’s a rare colour bloody shame at least you’re ok .all the best with it

When I wrote off my ex's Silver zed they said they didn't know how to value it so they'd pay what it was insured for less the excess

Hers was a 1998 version R NA auto. I sured for £6000 and we got £5800 from the insurance

Glad your okay..... sorry to see your pride and joy like that...... Make sure you get print outs of all the properly priced 300's for sale on ebay and other sites so you can show what money they are commanding in todays current climate....

At least if you can show the market price is higher then you can push for a better price.....

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

I am truly Gutted for Tony but so glad he is OK. Looking at the pics it is a wonder he came out unscathed. Having only got the car from me just over a month ago, I know how much he really liked the colour and the outstanding condition it was in. The main thing is that Tony is OK. The car although hard to replace, can be replaced. Lets hope the insurance company play ball.
