VOTING CLOSED 23/8: Display Car Vote : Classic Car Show : NEC 2018

Voting Closed at 20:37 23rd September and any further votes will not be counted.

Final results screen-captured and posted later in the thread

Poll closing on Sunday 23rd September.

2 months now until the show.

While we sort out the stand details and H&S requirements with the organisers, we should sort out the display cars as well :)

7 volunteers from the previous thread https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?189320-Lancaster-Insurance-Classic-Motor-Show-with-Discovery-NEC-November-2018 :

With the stand lighting build, information stands and person space, 4 is likely to be the maximum that could fit comfortably based on the mockups in the other thread.

So if 5th 6th and 7th are happy to remain as backups and keep the time free, that would be great.

I will be in touch with you all later regarding attending the show, fronting the stand, etc.

Shame we only have one vote when 4 can attend. My one vote was for JaiKai and if I could see 3 more then I’d like to see Joely (again), Andrews and Birds (no offence to the other cars, would love to see you all up there if we had the space).

i thought i had selected multi vote, but obviously not, and cant see how to edit it now without removing and reposting.

but even so, the top 4 will be selected, and any tie breaks can be managed by another round?

Never mind mate - unless Lee can fix...

Still, we have the vote underway, so good luck all...:clover:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Don't try and Jinx me; I've had enough bad luck.

Few things to do in the following order : engine, gearbox, prop, exhaust, new ECU, 4 wheel alignment, Mapping session, MOT

Then its just detailing after that to make sure she is show ready.

And there’s me wondering where I would find the time to fit my calipers and polish the car!

I don't have any beautifully composed pictures...but here goes.....

1991 UK 300ZX Twin Turbo Manual in Sahara Gold (EH7).....rare (Marmite) colour only available in the UK for one year (1991)......Only 44 ever sold in the UK in this colour…and only 24 of those in this colour/gearbox combination.

I can't believe Andrew's has only 1 vote! My preference for all 4 would be

JoelyP

AndrewG

Jaikai

GSC

.........The car looks standard and is ‘almost’ as it would have left the Nissan Showroom in 1991….only Z32 aficionados would notice the OEM+ improvements.

300ZX Valuation 001.jpg

Externally the car has 19” Calibre Vintage alloys replacing the OEM 16” wheels and gloss black roof bars in place of the body colour.

The car has had an OEM 1989 rear spoiler re-instated and a full body respray in Nissan EH7 tri coat pearl – Sahara Gold by Kraftwork Vehicle Refinishers in Chelmsford

Feeling left out so...

This is mine

Why vote for me?

1. Its the only convertable offered, so is different from all the others

2. I can put all the shit i buy at the trade stalls straight in the bootIMG_0109.JPG

.......The interior is black leather and has been removed, sound proofing installed and re-fitted using anti-rattle tape.....it is completely standard retaining the OEM Radio/Cassette player and separate CD player (although there is an Alpine amp hidden in the boot to improve sound quality).

Improvements on the horizon include the re-upholstering of the front seats in OEM spec black leather…just waiting for a slot in the very congested calendar of 300ZX Owners Club member and official trader….Simon at ‘Hide n Seat’ in county Durham.
