Beautiful blue sky day here in Essex, the kids are in the pool, the bbq is primed with coal (gas bbqs are for amateurs) for cooking a nice steak later this evening, after which i shall be taking the Z out for a cruise to the seaside i think.

Have a great one Chris at least I drove my Z into work this morning on deserted roads and my highlight of the day will be driving home again.

Its a lovely sunny morning on bank holiday Monday and I'm working  Losing the will to live here so who else is working or am I the only one?

Work??? ....I remember when I used to work! Every Monday is a bank holiday for me.

Counting them mate but still feeling down. I used to get this holiday in my last job.

I worked the last BH weekend so I’ve been looking forward to this one. 4am wake up from the little person, who thankfully went back to sleep for a bit. We got up about 6 and got out, down the beach before the grockles arrived, nice and empty and peaceful. Then when they start turning up with there suitcases and tent we left for breakfast and afterwards let kiddo run about in the water field, loved it! We were home and drinking coffee in the garden by 11.30. The perks of living in a holiday resort, got to get on with it early though as 200k+ people arrived in our town last bank holiday and it’s just chaos.

It’s a nice day though!

I vividly remember, when living in Ferndown and visiting family “up north”, leaving on a Saturday morning and seeing the mass of traffic queueing to get into Bournemouth/Poole, sometimes all the way back to the M3! The roads traveling out would be derelict in comparison. Then on the way back home on Sunday, hey presto the plethora of touring machines are all heading back out again and the roads into the seaside towns are empty!

Yup that’s my life. Last BH I was called out the Eastbourne, that journey home was intergalactic in length it was that slow, getting home from Manchester last Monday was faster! Getting a new van soon with aircon! That will be a game changer from sitting at the end of the M27 queuing for the hill by picket post just to get into Dorset!

Looks like it was mate.....

….Still, whilst I was off, I left the Fat Lamb - in the sunshine - around 10am in order to beat the bank holiday traffic back down south. Sad to leave, especially as the weather was so good, but at least we were home at 1.30. Gave me time to wash the car and chill with a glass or two, before going back to work today.

Twas a great weekend, but I'm still mildly jealous of Craig and Nikk - staying there for the rest of the week..
