So, I've been here for years now and have seen many zeds come and go. Some of my favourites being here in the northeast. Anyway, I thoughts I'd make a thread about old favourite to try and drum up some interest.

So, what are your old favourites and where are they now if you know.

The Fridge:

So this was owned by PaulG who put the kit on and painted the car himself in his garage. Shockingly, I remember FunkySi saying he quite liked the car. I personally loved it, veilside Supra spoiler and all. The car sold sold to someone abroad, initially having a wheel change and the spoiler removed before having a complete new colour and look.

I hate being a stranger , I used to spend hours on this awesome forum, it nearly cost me my relationship, lol... I just honestly struggle for down time recently, and my cars never get used.. I miss the good old days on here , the banter was epic!!! I'll try my bestest to say hi and join in a bit more. By the way, I still see zxeyes( Issac) now and again :)... I'll try and get him to log on and say hi too ..

Great to see you posting Daz miss you on the forum but good to hear you still have that vert I drove at JAE one year :)

A few action shots of some previously mentioned cars

God I remember that day at JapFest, Murt stuck it into the infield after aquaplaning. Seem to remember the silverstreak shearing a calipers bolt or something during the dry session later in the day

JONCE

Another northeast massive member but doesn't live up here anymore. The car was originally gun metal and turned into this. Lovely looking car which Jonce still owns

I see Wheelman's yellow Z right in the background there. Lovely car that was, no idea what happened to that.

I’m so glade I sold my first 300 in the very early 00s and didn’t pick another one up until 2013 otherwise I may have been resposable for one or two of these monstrosities. :scared:

I think you are right there Andrew, another PPS wide arch as well I think.Did you go to Trax with us in 2000 or 2001 when we met up with him there?

I can't be sure, but this may be Johnny@Grasshopper Pro Sport's - photo circa 2002.

I meet Johnny back in 2001 when I bought a s/h R33 brake kit off him at his place. I remember his car and recall him buying a set

of Blitz Technospeeds (with gold spokes) at the same time I ordered mine. That's what made me think it was his car in the photo.

Fantastic thread Lee, so many cars and names from the past. It was Zelda that got me out of Supras and into Zeds if I’m honest, loved JAYS shortie also, didn’t he have it done in a matte / satin black??

Thanks mate. I thought it'd be a fun thread. Got more to add, just struggling for time atm.

I don't remember jays being in matte black, but I do recall a nice looking car in it. Had a greedy graces type front bumper

While the single exhaust in Warrens red z might of sound great it still looks so wrong but the rest looks great.

I've never been a fan of a single exit on zeds

What about MarkDerby. He is now a past member and put lots into his car? Was a smart looking car at one stage. What ever happened to it and did he ever build an engine that lasted or did he just give up trying in the end?

I thought the yellow one in the background, with the gold 5-spoke alloys, belonged to Sideshowbob....?

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Nope, well maybe he sold it on, but back in the day, it was owned by wheelman.

Into chaving up Fords now. I stayed at a hotel in Derby last week and saw him parked up in the McDonald's there just across the way in the 'Automodz' stickered up Focus.

We're both right Si......

.....Sideshowbob owned it first - and he sold it to Wheelman; who then put it up for sale himself in 2011

Check post #19....!!

This Zed was for sale at a place in Kent called Jap City in 2003-ish. I seem to remember seeing it when I looked a pearl white one there myself.

Aaaah! Other way round then! Sideshowbob got a black one after that from memory.

It was a lovely car that pearl yellow.

Certainly was - and those wheels really set it off perfectly.

Some horror stories came out of there too.

Trying to recall some of the funny and rather pointless Z32 related modifications of the time (other than dump valves).

Stuff that's gone out of favour (thankfully):

*Shrimpy's grounding kit

*Chromed headlights

*Mesh in the front bumper

*Carbon bonnets (which weigh about the same as a stock bonnet).
