What on earth is happening in the car scene of late, ricers everywhere youtube , facebook you name it, all showing their latest drift skill and stick on bits from Halfords !!

But there is a worrying development and that is z32 seem fail play now, no more messing with Honda Civics and Scoobies lets get a zed and crucify it with stick on gash products and lairy paint work whilst doing nothing decent like cambelt or oil change.

There is as serious conversation right now on facebook about how to get the longest flames out of their 300zx exhaust, drilling the back box and fitting a spark plug wired to fire up the overun /unburnt fuel ?? WTH hell is wrong with these people ??

This kind if stuff is all due to the Fast and Furious mentality and has no place in true tuning or customising, I saw the exact same thing happen with Sierra Cosworth, once the heralded Fast Ford that managers and executives alike were happy to be seen in, as prices dropped in late nineties they got all chavved up, got rid of mine just in time thank goodness, loved it but seeing a 17 year old skidding around mcdonalds was enough for me to get out.

So is the 300zx going the same way, afraid I am seeing evidence that it maybe, only the low numbers around will stop it getting to out of hand I hope, but either way, please, please, please do not spit fire out of your exhaust, do not fit lash body kits or repaint in lairy colours, or the z32 will be joining the Honda and Toyota league........gulp!

No offence but you don't half sound like a moany old misery guts. As for 300ZX's being "chavved" I've seen 300ZX's with shit paint and tasteless bodywork for over ten years. It's slowly dying out now if anything but there's still a few ex Max Power readers clinging on. As for spitting flames out of the exhaust... That's just a bit of fun isn't it? Chill out mate, it's a nice day. Find a local beer garden and soothe your frayed nerves with a cold one.

If anything the Z32 has passed that stage.

Totally agree. Cars painted flip paint crap and covered in half a super yaucht are just not popular anymore. Prices are rising out the rock bottom ones of recent years.

Jeff is the same age as me and to be honest my wife sometimes calls me a grumpy old git but hey we have seen a lot and done a lot so just give us the respect us nearly old gits deserve. :devil2: Now where did I put them neon lights for underneath the car.

He may be, lol ¬ only kidding Jeff :)

But he is kinda right, not long ago there was a short wheel zed in my neighbourhood with go fast stripes,

huge ass spoiler and neon lights under it in which my opinion is just copying the fast and furious genre.

The guy who owned it was only interested in showing it off and had no respect for the zed in its natural state.

Much so that soon as it developed issues he parted with it.

Hopefully the days of bad body kits and bad taste extras like stripes, neon lights will slowly fade away and be forgotten.

The zed will live on as a classic and those chavs can no longer afford them as the prices start to go up again.

This is old old news. Z32s 10 years ago had far more stick on shite and fibreglass glued to them in a feeble attempt at making them look 'different'.

To be honest there are far less poorly modified ones in the UK than there ever has been.

US Z32s reached the bottom of their depreciation curve a good few years after they did in the UK which is why there are so many ricey Mexican shitboxes all over the interwebs.

The US scene is what we had 10 years ago. Thankfully they stay away from the larger Z shows and tend to hang out with their sub culture cliques.

....having said that, there some horrors on 300ZX Nismo UK Facebook page - it is horrendous. So yeah, I agree in that sense Jeff! Terrible!

LOL - like Cyberdine Systems in Terminator-2.....

.....We can but try, but this JaiKai fella just wants to live on......

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Are you sure this was such a good idea? My godson sold his Sierra Cosworth recently, which he purchased with a friend a few years back as an investment... yes it was immaculate and one owner and 17k on the clock, but he got the thick end of £100k for it last year!

Lets hope you're right and the Z32 goes the same, I suspect not, chavved or otherwise.

Yes amazing how the Cosworth well ford`s in general have swung right around and making some serious money.

Its amazing how Leyland junk is even being considered as potential classic status, let alone actually fetching strong money already... and the Z32 is still struggling to get a grip in the investment market!!!

From my point of view, we should help the 'chavs' destroy theirs with spark plugs in the backbox or horrendous body kits so that the good quality ones, like our own, are more valuable when theirs blow up or drift into a wall....operation 'help them out' commences!

Exactly ! Well said buddy !!

The Z32 WAS chavtastic 10 years go, its definitely becoming less so now. Owners seem more interested in quality Track/performance improvements or OEM+ these days.

i cant say ive seen this myself i only ever remember 1 guy coming on here and telling us he was doing donuts in a tesco's carpark or someother and then he was quietly shown the door, as for car meets all the chav mobeels are swifts and few fto's ive noticed
