UK vs US ebay

The other day i was looking for a specific light part for my new zed build.

Specifically rear bumber markers that are smoked in colour so it matched the purple bumper looks better.

Anyways; the previous seller i got these from no longer stocks them so i searched ebay again and found nothing.

Turning to google a few links came up showing the part on ebay which previous searches didn't show.

After i logged into the US version of the site and added it to my watch list and thinking i can browse the sellers shop

directly later on from the UK site i found that it was empty.

Back to the US version again the shop was full of stuff that we dont get to see and seems to be exluded from UK searches.

So even with the option on the UK site saying search internationly i now believe this to be *****cks.

This discovery has opened up a whole new market of parts and if anyone else doesnt know about it just use the link below :

Below is the lights i just purchased and have already been shipped.

Results are completely different from eBay.ie, eBay.Co.uk and eBay.com so I usually search all three. Really annoying.

Not sure I agree Lee. Each to their own, but you're going for such a high end build that I think going for cheap looking eBay parts isn't the way to go with it.

If you wanted clear or smoked lenses that look like the originals, see whether these are still available?

More fiddly and time consuming, but you get a result that isn't an eBay looking part.

Just a thought.

Wouldnt say they were cheap, i've bought them before and the build of them are as good as oem.

Have to say I think they look better than the ones Si posted which look home made. With my car being red the stock ones work best but I can see them looking better on your dark coloured car. If you just went black, well it would be a bit Barry boys.

I tend to agree they look better smoked than red with the colour scheme of that car. Have you considered painting them body colour?

If you were going that route I'd suggest to blend them in. Be a bit half assed otherwise.

$48

Pretty inexpensive compared to the door rubbers I've just bought! They were £240. I'm going to replace the full targa rubbers soon and they're £200 a side! Stuff like that is going to go obsolete within the next few years.

I'd say $48 is fook all!
