I was going to wait until the whole project was finished before i write this up, but i find myself with time to kill.

I have had my zed for a bit over a year now and have done a couple modifications to it:

HICAS Delete

Larger SMICs

Larger Radiator

but the one thing that really bugged me the whole time was the style of the car. this was mainly down to a mismatched paint job and this summer i set about rectifying this.

These are pictures from the first day i bought the car:

I'm picking up the car on Friday all finished! There will be a flourish of photos to follow and a quick walk around vid after I take it on a scenic drive

well if you like thats ok. :tt2: its a very nice white thats for sure

It kinda makes your side profile shot look weird at the arch/bumber, arch/sill sections, as in the lines/contour of the arches aren't flowing?? If you get what I mean, not having a go at your fabulous Z, I'm just thinking that maybe the spats would look better in white :o

Nice job Rhys, how come you left the spats black? Is it for contrast?

The painter said that the material wouldn't take the paint very well and I took his word for it as I didn't want to bugger them! I do know what you mean mate

You can get fiberglass Twinz Design spats for the z (not sure if they're SWB only) they'd be ok for painting, also I'm sure a few of the lads here have painted spats, maybe they can give you some input??

Think it's the lesser of two evils, they will crack or show creases similar perhaps to a worn or used leather seat, personally my preference is always body colour.

So had the Z in a gearbox place for three weeks, getting bearings replaced and they said a new first shaft was needed or something like that. Long story short they couldn't source the part so sourced a refurbished gearbox and installed for the same price I was quoted! With 12 month or 12000 mile warranty, whatever is hit first
