  • And they have arrived !

  • After the oil got contaminated and slightly washed down with fuel the turbos also ceased up. I decided to strip them and do the rebuild myself as the costs for that at the moment to be done profe

  • Well that was a quick trip, planned to stay to Thursday but unfortunately had to come back earlier.   At least Jimmer now has all parts to start an engine build.   Hopefully we wil

For the cost it won't be something I'll be replacing at the moment.

I'll touch it up later with some paint if needed.

It’s not something that needs replacing for aesthetics, there’s nothing wrong with the way it looks. It’s more from a service point of view as that dampener has carried fuel for over 20 years now! It looks like your FPR has been replaced though?

What a productive day today has been, strangely great weather too.

Engine is back in, harness wired up, radiator and water pipes hooked up.

Clutch booster system back in and connected; that was a bugger to fix.

Tomorrow i'll jack her up and prepare to fit the clutch, flywheel, prop and exhaust.

Might be close to starting her up in a few days.

I've got a feeling that my bonnet WON'T be getting opened at the NEC! :scared:

mine looked like a barn find under the bonnet last year when Jimmer visited the stand and wanted to have a look

my car always seems to have straw or feathers stuck on it somewhere whenever i turn up at a meet

ok, before I tighten this bolt and forget about it !

Should there be copper washers above and below the bolt ?

Few things I need to get today, and I've added copper washers to my list.

Need to do all the oils and fill up the radiator with distilled water too.

Luckily I have a trade card for Halfords.

My list is getting bigger every time I think about it :

Engine oil.

Brake fluid.

Distilled water.

Coolant additive.

Copper Washers.

VAC pipe.

Coil Pack Bolts.
