I know gaz/hellraiser had one for sale, don't know any thing more I'm afraid, for example if he still has it.

am in no rush just started looking now my car will be up and running soon and i want to drive it after all this waiting should be 500bhp ish, but am thinking i could build a super one on the side 650bhp to a high spec do it over a few months, i deffo want a 100% stock engine to start with

would there not be some parts in the tt the na would not have

Yes, but if your aiming for 650hp your likely going to change them anyway, when I TT mine I'm using my NA engine, same blocks and cranks as TT, NA has better oil squirters fitted already, pistons and rods will be replaced anyway, you can use NA heads for a TT setup but valves will need swapping and ports are different but it will work. Depends on your overall build really mate.

NAs have lower compression, i don't know the other differences. Maybe you can change that on rebuild?

Hope you didn't apply that theory whilst replacing your timing belt :whistling:

No, for that there are more than 100 teeth to choose from

I have a TT engine from an auto Dan, I was going to do the valves as they were pulled up on a leak down test, but was a strong engine with good compression.

yes maybe will pm you now

As long as the crank is ok and no valves are damaged any shot engine is fine, most bore damage will go with the first oversize rebore anyway, even the most horrific looking scores.Stay away from pre 599 engines as they have the early heads with soft valves.

thanks so the will the number after thats 599, be 600 or somethings else

Correct. Generally 89 or very early 90 models. There aren't that many in the system, yours is unlikely to be affected - but worth checking if yours is a 90 or has had an engine swap in the past.
